Del Taco — Restaurant in Ontario

I just know what I hear from the employees. The owner really gives them a terrible time about that stupid timer at the drive-thru window. In my experience, it seems that it's very hard for the employees to stay positive and give good customer service when their boss is so difficult to work for. I'm a Del Taco fan so I visit different ones a couple times a week. It's not like this at the other Del Tacos in the area. At this one, food seems to be decent if you walk in and get it. But if you go through the drive-thru it's a 50-50 shot at getting what you asked and PAID for. And again, it's because they don't have time to get your order right because they're too busy trying to do it super fast to beat the stupid window timer! I would rather wait longer and have my food made right then get out of there quicker and have the food made wrong. What's worse is that most of the time customers pay for things like extra cheese or avocado and they rarely get it because the cook is in too much of a hurry to beat the drive-through timer. VERY SAD. The owner is not very business savvy if he's really running his crew this way. (A few minutes later...) I'm adding on to this because I see that there are a lot of people that reviewed this Del Taco and said they had a long wait in the Drive-Thru. I can tell you that on Tuesdays and Thursdays they have Taco specials and customers, for some reason, think that it's okay to order 20 tacos in the Drive-Thru line. Also, I was told by employees, that the owner doesn't like wasting food so they are only allowed to have so much meat, beans, eggs, Etc. that are hot and ready at a given time. That's why, sometimes, it takes them so long to prepare the order. Then, the owner gets mad when they are not fast enough with the drive-through orders. I'm telling you, I think this owner needs to rethink how he's running...

So I've been here multiple times. I would say out of 10 times they've got my food right two times big reason why I keep returning to this Del Taco is I work late nights and it's the only thing that's open 24 hours so I pretty much get stuck resorting to Del Taco Tonight I've definitely pushed me over the edge because I showed up and they're open 24 hours. I talked to somebody through the drive-through and they said they couldn't help me that their system was rebooting for the morning. I asked if I could still place an order and pay cash more than what it is because I get the same thing every time I know how much it is, and she refused to answer that question. So I politely asked how long does the rebooting take? She kept saying the same thing over is our computers are rebooting sorry we can't help you but couldn't politely just tell me how long that was going to take or let me pay more money than what it was. Plan out just very rude and went up to the counter. politely ask again like hey is there anything that you can do, and she wouldn't even look at me through the window pretty absurd when this is job that is considered a hospitality job when you're trying to get something to eat and it's late at night. you would think you would have a little bit more concern for taking care of the people coming in And showing support your business...

I stopped to grab some dinner for my husband and myself. I asked for fresh fries because EVERYTIME I have came they’re cold and soggy. The older lady in the drive thru was rude and rolled her eyes when I asked if she can make sure the fries were fresh. I get my order and the fries were not even hot. I asked her if I can get new fries because they were cold. With a nasty attitude she snatched the bag out of my hand and rolled her eyes again. She said something to the worker and than told me these literally just came up so she don’t know how they ain’t hot. She told me to move forward out of the drive thru to wait for “fresh fries” so she can get an order out for the car behind me. When I got my fries finally. They were hot but not fresh.
