La Garrafa — Restaurant in Ontario

I happened to be in the E Francis St of Ontario and seen this Ice Cream/Coffee shop that was open in the morning and decided to give it a try. I made small talk with the individuals behind the counter. Come to find out they are the owners and were very friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about their menu. Everything is clean inside and the gelato machine looks amazing. I had an iced Horchata coffee. It was strong and refreshing. I have a high tolerance for caffeine and the drink was what I needed. Also, my supervisor ordered an iced matcha tea and she loved it. I will definitely return in the evening to try some gelato ice cream and their floats. They sell authentic Mexican paletas ice...

I’ve seen some comments about this ice cream shop that don’t reflect the reality of what they do for the community. It’s important to know that this business has been actively involved in partnerships, fundraisers, and sponsorships to support local schools, sports teams, and community events. On our visit, we also noticed that they provide space right at the register for local small business owners to leave their promotional cards. It’s disappointing when negative opinions come from people who have never even supported or purchased from the shop… I imagine. From what we’ve experienced, this place truly values its community and works hard...

I really wanted to support local businesses, but this place left a terrible impression. Instead of focusing on improving their own service, they seem more concerned with tearing others down. It feels like their energy goes into trying to push out neighboring small businesses rather than building genuine relationships with customers.

As a customer, this behavior doesn’t sit right with me. I’d rather spend my money somewhere that supports the community instead of trying to...
