We went into the restaurant and ordered our food, then went to the men's restroom to wash up. Upon entering, there was a male employee facing the urinal who zipped up his zipper, tightened his belt and then proceeded to exit the restroom without washing his hands. When I went to get our food I noticed the employee on the food line but was wearing gloves. I requested to speak to the shift lead as I did not see a manager present. She came over about 10 minutes later and I let her know what we witnessed. Her reaction was one that did not seem to let it bother her or the fact that her employee violated one of the biggest health and safety rules. There is a sign in the restroom that does state employees must wash hands, but I am going to assume he has never read the sign. Upon letting her know, her response was that she will let him know that he needs to wash his hands but she also said when he comes back inside to the kitchen area he is supposed to wash his hands, but who was to witness that he even did that? I told her that was not okay because now after he was done relieving himself, now he is contaminating the door handle to both exiting the restroom and entering the kitchen area. If he did not wash his hands before he put his gloves on, then now he is contaminating the gloves touching the outside of them. She did not seem to have the proper attitude or willingness to address the issue immediately as she went back to the drive-thru to assist with the orders without talking to this individual. She was a petite young lady and the guy was younger with a tattoo on his arm. I have had some issues with this location in the past and decided to go back in for a quick bite, but this definitely sealed the deal that I will no longer be visiting this location ever again and will make the drive from Ontario to the Fontana location. I have been a loyal customer for years but this one incident...
Read moreIf I could do less than one star, I would we arrived. A man took our order. I ordered chili Riano burrito no rice. I ordered loaded fries, guacamole on the side and two drinks we ate inside. This is what we received two drinks that were flat guacamole all over the fries rice jammed packed full in the burrito. I paid $32 for everything. The man giving out the orders was very polite. He refilled our drinks from the fountain in the drive-through he replaced our burrito and he replaced our fries with all the guacamole over it however, we waited forever and then we got it back the burrito and the fries were both cold. The guacamole was on the side and the burrito had twice as much rice in it Will I come here again absolutely not what I recommend it absolutely not very unprofessional and not happy after being told by many people go to Miguel‘s on Haven in Ontario. It’s the best no it’s not I could have made rice at home. We don’t even eat rice and I have an allergy to guacamole so I would not come here again and I would not recommend it. What I do. Recommend is the owner of this establishment giving me back my $32 paying for my gas to drive from Los Angeles all the way to Ontario and expectations of wonderful food. It could have at least been hot at the best it was mediocre warm. I do not recommend this place at all and if you read any of my reviews, I do give kudos to where restaurants do very well even if they make a mistake but they do very well with customer service but when they don’t, I’m gonna straight up tell you like it is do not go here. Please do not go here they do cater to their online orders and there to go orders more than they do the people coming in inside the restaurant to eat. I wish that would change see my...
Read moreMan, I hate giving Miguel's a sub-par review but I hate to say, I was a bit let down when I went in a few days ago.
I often stop here on my way out to Palm Desert and I always look forward to getting their carne asada as it's usually cooked medium rare, juicy, and full of flavor, but that day the meat was overcooked (well done), dry (as if it had been sitting for some time), and just didn't have the flavor I was used to. Maybe their marinade hasn't changed and the flavor part was on me, but the meat was definitely overcooked (I believe their standard is medium rare) and dry, a bummer but not something I was going to complain about.
I tried their taquitos for the first time and they were just okay, not bad by any means but not outstanding. The biggest issue for me was that the meat was kind of mush instead of shredded like most good Mexican restaurants I've had taquitos from. The flavor of the meat in the taquitos was kind of "average" as well, but they do give you a good amount of cheese and guacamole with them, so yay that. Their red and green salsas are on the good side but I've had better (Pepe's in Hacienda Heights and El Rancho to in Palm Desert, outstanding).
Bottom line is, I would come here for their 5 star carne asada and I hope they were just having an off day that...
