I'm a local and you want to read this review.

Arriving at the restaurant there were not any other people having a meal. There was one person sitting at a table the Host said to them, "I'm going to have to ask you to not sit at any table since people may start coming in." He spoke it very rudely in front of us. I'm not sure why the person was there, but it was uncalled for.

When it was time to place our order we told him we would like to order an entree and one appetizer now, then later we would have another entree to order. He stated it makes it very difficult for the kitchen to take in additional order items later so we would need to put everything in at once.

Lastly I wanted to order curry and substitute some of the vegetables. He said THE CHEF does not like changing out any ingredients on any items and would charge us up to $5 to make any changes.

Needless to say we packed up and left. Originally I had left this restaurant five stars and each time I've been here I have overlooked the rudeness of this host/ server . Can no longer ignore it and I will not be returning.

There's also a good chance he has been instructed to make these comments and it is a terrible way to conduct business. The customer is always right. If you can't make food that the customer wants to order at the time I want to order it, you deserve to fail.

Update: The owner has reached out and made sure we have a good future experience. We have since returned and had a good experience. I have since updated my rating as they still won't let me change any vegetables in my choice of curry, but the service did improve and the food is still very good although customization is lacking without...

Expensive prices for average food. I came to order take out at Niki’s because of it 4.5 stars reviews. However, I think the reviews are inflated for this restaurant, if based on these factors: prices: expensive! My tab was $71.50 for 2 orders of Pad Thai (chicken and shrimp), shrimp fried rice, Tom yum soup, 2 egg rolls, and sweet sticky rice with mango. servings; not much food for a a lot of money! They shorted me on my egg rolls. Ordered large (4 egg rolls), they gave me 2. And my husband said, it tasted as if they had just microwaved them. So 2 egg rolls for $7!! Tom yum soup was tasteless as well. No substance. quality of food, i.e. freshness and taste: Pad Thai and fried rice were good. The Mango served with sweet sticky was tasteless, old and barely edible. service, wait time: I waited over an hour for my orders, despite the fact that when I got there, they only had about 8 customers seated in 2 tables. ambience. Coastal. But nothing fancy. parking. They can’t accomodate more than 10 cars up front. Unless they have parking in the back.

Note:

I called to tell them about the egg rolls - for shorting me. They can’t give me credit back on my credit card. So they want me to go back to get my 2 egg rolls or $3 cash refund. How unfortunate. That I must waste my time and resources in order for them to correct their mistakes!

Menu prices on their website is not updated. For example: Pad Thai and fried rice are $14 - $16 per order $4 - $6 more than what’s listed in...

Not impressed. We were the second table to be seated and to order. They had just opened. Two other tables were behind us to order. Ordered satay chicken as an appetizer and two dishes for the meals. 30 minutes later, we watched our appetizer be delivered to one of the later tables and then their food order. One of the two wait staff finally saw I was ready to leave. She said she would hurry the kitchen with our order since they hadn’t started it/ didn’t get the ticket and there’d be no charge for the appetizer. Why didn’t the wait staff give the ticket to the kitchen? No, our order went to another table. The satay came out at the 35 minute wait time mark. Undercooked. As she served our appetizer she stated our food was ready and wanted to know if she could serve it so it wouldn’t get cold. Timing? No warmers? Four tables, two wait staff, and a blame on the kitchen for them not getting the ticket. I had panang curry with chicken and spouse had spicy basil chicken. The curry was thin and salty. The spicy basil chicken wasn’t spicy. While waiting on our food, a couple walked in and asked how long for service. The male waiter stated it would be 15-20 minutes maybe longer since they had so many phone orders. Not a good answer. We had to flag down someone, anyone to get our bill. Then we had to flag for them to come get the payment. At this point, they were down to three tables. Poor service and undercooked so-so food. Sorry, will not...

I was so happy to find this Thai restaurant near Orange Beach while on vacation. They had so many vegan meal options it was hard for me to choose! This is the Tofu Cashew Stir Fry! Food makes the heart happy!!!! Oh and Saki!!!

This restaurant was near our hotel. The first time, we left the beach a little late and just wanted to eat close to the hotel. The prior night we went to the Wharf and was not impress with what we ate. I had noticed lots of cars for lunch time, so I told my hubby it must be a popular local place. The food pictured was from 2 visits. We had the whole flounder in ginger sauce and the chicken panang. The 2nd time was the prawns in panang sauce and chicken spicy basil eggplant. All those dishes were delicious. Love the flounder in ginger sauce, as in most restaurants they don't offer that option. Too bad their broiler was broken that time. My hubby's favorite was the panang. Our LO had the fish and fries both times. Now, the best part is that the prawns are really the real prawns, jumbo and not just large shrimps! We were quite satisfied with the meal.

The food was a bit not the real taste of Thai. We got Shrimp pad Thai and it was too sweet. We also got Niki seafood salad and it was too salty. A bit disappointed because we were really want to try Thai restaurant near the beach. But the good thing was the seafood was really fresh. Shrimp was so crispy also the calamari. The mango with sticky rice was delicious. Moreover, the service of the server was really dissatisfied. He rolled his eyes at our table and also laughed at our friends when she tried to order her food. We’re not sure that it was because of the short staffs there or he just didn’t like our table. Also, I’ve never seen the restaurant that write its own tips on the ticket before. We can’t customize the tips by ourselves.
