Tiki & Raw Bar — Restaurant in Orange Beach

VERY STRANGE VIBE AND DISGUSTING FOOD! Have been to Tiki many times… and was always good. BUT now, most likely, will not go back! Upon walking in, the bartender (7/30/2024) continually and strangely stared at our group… very odd! Next, the waiter obviously did not want to be there by his stand off and edgy behavior, though he did finally come around and conversed some with us. We later learned from him that this would be his last day working there. In all fairness to him, he deducted the price of one of our meals due to its unacceptable preparation. As for the food, the grouper sandwich was served on a “wet” bun that could not be picked up due to its sogginess. The grouper was “greasy and mushy”. The new style cheeseburger they serve since the new management took over was so salty and greasy it was disgusting. The new management has brought on a number of new staff members and only a couple of the old and reliable staff were present. As a local homeowner, we try to support local businesses… there are enough other restaurants in the area that we can visit. Terrible service, and an extremely rude wait staff coupled with average drinks and food. This was my third time here and I’ve had similar experiences every time so we will not be back again. I think I’ve seen enough. The staff cannot handle the busy summer season nor can they handle the slow season either as we’ve had terrible service and long waits no matter if it’s busy or slow. On this most recent visit, our waitress was very rude, refused to give us a cup of ice water unless we were sitting at a table and assigned a waitress so we patiently waited for a table and got a round of drinks while we waited and then when we got seated and the same waitress that denied us a cup of water while we were waiting, told us we had to leave the table unless we were getting a round of drinks and food with her right then. We planned on getting drinks and apps but wanted to finish our initial round first as we’d just gotten them. Consistently I’ve had a disappointing experience and this just was it for me. Anchor Bar, Playa, Flipper’s are all within minutes of this place and have much better attitudes, food and drinks! Highly recommend trying those before you waste your time...

We loved coming to the tiki bar. We would go twice a week. Then they got rid of all their amazing staff. This place has gone down hill fast. We waited 25 minutes just for someone to acknowledge that we were there. We were sitting inside! Then we got our appetizer before our drinks. I had to go to the bar to get two beers that were just sitting there getting warm. We had to ask our waitress again for our sodas. Never offered refills, never checked on us to see if our food was correct. We had to ask for a bill. They were not busy. When we first go there and finally came to our table she had to check her phone for the time and said well I guess you have time. We are closing at 7 today. It was 5:15 and we had already been waiting for 25 minutes! It’s like they don’t want the business. Well they just lost mine. We will not return unless they get a staff that wants to work. The bartender was staring at the computer screen the whole time. Not even looking at her customers to get there order. They just had to shout it to her. Just ridiculous.
