Edited: since my post I have been in contact with management. They apologized for the service and lack of eggs. They have also offered to make it up to us at another time. I appreciate management making the time to make it right. Original: We made a reservation for brunch. A well advertised and recommended brunch. When we arrived we were given upstairs or downstairs seating. We chose upstairs to enjoy the view and music. Live saxophone music and a beautiful view was the perfect ending to a holiday weekend. We were not greeted upstairs and quickly realized they were understaffed. A gentleman bussed the table for us and was obviously aggravated. The table next to it even commented on the aggression of the table cleaning. He threw plates, silverware, and glasses into the tub. Several items fell to the floor. Syrup was slung across the table and an attempt to clean it was made. We had to do this again before we could sit. It was on the side of the table and the wall. We were soon met with a waiter that explained the short staffing and no eggs. Yes, that is no eggs left, ran out of eggs. So our brunch was changed to an early lunch. We still enjoyed the music, scenery, and mimosas. The food we ate was good, it was not brunch and not what we went for. I am not sure if we recommended this place to our friends, but definitely...

Wow! I have been coming to Gulf Shores since the 90's and this is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. They just opened six months ago too! They have inside seating in the main restaurant on the first floor and then an upstairs bar that is outside seating. The bar had a guitarist when we were there. I really appreciated how good he was, but the music wasn't too loud either. Great place to take kids because it's at a marina so you can see the ocean, great views by the way, and look at the boats.

The food was amazing! If you like conch, they have the best conch fritters in the USA. The pieces of conch are big and tasty. I had the grouper with a lemon sauce. My only complaint is that I wanted more grouper! My wife had a cajun jambalaya pasta with a cream sauce. I really loved hers too. I took the bread pudding home for dessert and it was very sweet and very good. Very rich, so be careful. Drinks were presented neatly and were delicious. The staff was on their game too. Great atmosphere, great food, great scenery. We...

10/10 Stars – Outstanding Experience at The Barometer Waterfront Grille

From the moment we stepped into the beautifully designed lobby, we were welcomed with warmth by a gracious hostess. The coastal, elegant atmosphere immediately set a relaxing tone for the evening.

Our server was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. She offered thoughtful recommendations, including unique menu items not found elsewhere in town. Service was prompt, and each course arrived perfectly timed.

The food was exceptional. The filet was incredibly tender—truly “butter knife” soft. The shrimp scampi was flavorful, and the Cajun pasta was the standout favorite of the evening. Even our notoriously picky kids finished every bite, which speaks volumes about the quality and appeal of the dishes.

Clean, refined, and inviting, The Barometer Waterfront Grille offers a dining experience that’s as impressive as its waterfront views. Highly...

Decided to give it a try since we liked the location when it was Playa. Glad we did. Newly opened and working out minor kinks but food was really good, service fast and friendly, and a good value (meaning you get what you pay for, not that it's a cheap place.) Blackened redfish sandwich was really good with a huge filet and a side. Gouda grits were much too dry though, and the calamari were too thin but flavorful. Gumbo was excellent and a large serving for a cup. Server and host were very nice and personable. Even the bus boy was great, still learning the ropes but got all four plates to the right people which, to me, is a sign of quality and attention to detail compared to most places where they ask who had what. Very much worth a visit now but hoping to be able to give it another star as they mature.

Came here as had reservations available on a Friday night. That should have been first clue. Waitress started friendly with advice on sitting fish and shrimp with my son. Downhill from there as she rarely stopped at table again but heard talking to another table of her age guests. Food was slow to come out and salads came with meal vs before. Wife’s grits were cold and the steak fries with my order more like chips they were so thin. Waitress never checked so could complain, so just accepted. But then an unknown 3.5% service charge added to bill. Just paid as very ready to go by then. Would not return.
