If this was my first Pirate Cruise experience, my rating might be 2/5 stars but compared to the one we did in Panama City Beach, this unfortunately doesn’t compare at all. The 2 guys on the ship gave it their best efforts but the ship itself was an old wooden mess with wobbly boards, no shade or seats, and splintered wood. The restroom didn’t have toilet paper (we were the first cruise of the day) and we had to barrow wipes from a mother on board. The kids in our party ages 6+ were absolutely uninterested, especially when singing ā€œbaby sharkā€ and following a hand drawn treasure map. I’m surprised the cruise has such high ratings. When you purchase the tickets, it adds gratuity yet there’s a jar for tips on the boat. They need a minimum of 4 workers to make the cruise interactive and fun, despite the two workers best efforts- there was a lot of down time. It never specifically says in the description the kids will get wet so we didn’t bring a change of clothes or towels, we actually had to stop at the nearest store and buy them new clothes to wear back to the condo because when we left they were soaked. Just not at all what we expected, again, especially compared to our previous Pirate...

Had a wonderful time on the ship! Kids loved it and you could tell the pirates that were interacting with the kids put in the extra effort to try and make every kid feel safe and have a good time. They even seeked out my daughter and talked to her one on one cause they knew she was scared and not having a great time. Halfway through they handed out water and lemonade and made sure everyone got liquids, cause boy howdy it was hot. I saw some other comments about music, and while I agree, the kids don't really notice and to me it was all about them. Def bring extra clothes for the kids as between the water balloons and the battles with other ships ( best part by far ) your little pirates will get soaked.

Also worth adding, we were running late as parking is a bit difficult there, definitely arrive early, but they called as we were walking up to make sure we were still coming and waited for us. Also helped load and unload my aunt and her wheel chair. Oh and we saw dolphins, so...

I will give 5 stars since the crew works so hard and there was shade. There were things I wish I had known and it's my fault for not reading the website , but I wanted to share here. You will most likely get wet. Dress accordingly. The kids that are participating definitely get wet. It seems to be geared more toward younger children. My nine year old did not care a thing about the games and was only interested in the treasure (small gems). The punch is artificial color (my kid is allergic), but they do offer water. He felt left out, so any other moms in my position might choose to bring a special juice or something as a sub for the pirate punch. TIP IS INCLUDED which I didn't realize til I scrutinized my bill. They do have a tip jar as well. I also feel like the cannon is not something this cruise needs. It's loud and scary for the ones sitting in the back & the neighborhoods nearby don't seem to like it either. I don't think the kids on the deck even notice it. I...
