I know better than to go out on Mother's day but I also did not want to cook anything for dinner. The place was full though it did not take long to get a table. Parking was full so we parked on the street. It did however take more than an hour after we got seated to get our food. I never complain but I have limits. And if you have ever gone to dinner with hungry kids you know the "where is my/our food?" question every 45 seconds. They drove me crazy! So I went and asked. Food then started to trickle to our table. The food is good and service was too, our waitress was very apologetic and I know it's not her fault. Just would not go anywhere on Mother's day. Maybe I will remember that next year. 😉 I have been here before on two occasions and food did not take long so I know it was just that they were swamped. I really do like their michelada. Simple and soooo good. They have many other variations with Tamarindo and mango etc but I find that the simple michelada is delicious. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and they have heaters for outside. There is only one restroom but it's fully stocked, clean, spacious and even has a changing table. They have a kids menu which makes it one of our places where we can all find something we like, and that's...
Read moreIt's a casual neighborhood place to enjoy with friends and family - not quiet or romantic and no ambience. They have a wide variety of Mexican and seafood and sushi dishes. The Tropical with shrimp, octopus, Mango and coconut was fresh and delicious with their large tortilla rounds. Grilled tacos, empañadas and salsa were OK. They serve beer and margaritas and we enjoyed our margaritas. The waitresses were nice to us gringas but the service was slow, they were busy on a Sunday night - get there early as it is a small place with limited parking. I wouldn't drive far to go back but if you're in the area and want a casual lunch or dinner...
Read moreThis nice Mariscos restaurant is in nice corner in the city of Orange. As I was reviewing it's instagram page I seen tons of pictures of food but when I arrived it's a different story. It's in the best interest of the owner to not use social media to mislead but to attract customers with accurate pictures. When we asked the waitress and showed her the pictures of what we wanted she stated it's just for presentation. Also some pictures are not even on the menu when also asked. I ordered the Campechana and was close to it's Instagram post but not the grilled octopus. Overall place has potential if it conducts it's self with honesty...
