When I decided to review the restaurants or Mom & Pop eateries that I visit. I promised myself to be honest and fair in my reviews. So let me start by saying every restaurant can have an "off day", Well let me tell you about my experience at Wise Guys Pizzeria (Orange) when they were experiencing an "off day". Now this was my first dinning experience at Wise Guys, and I choose this pizzeria because a family member had gone to High School with the two owners and he had raved that it was a great pizza place. So last Friday night "me and mine" ordered up a medium pepperoni and black olives, a Mac n Chees dinner and an order of itialian wings (special house/Frank's wing sauce). Now I'm not quite sure what went wrong, Maybe it was the fact that the restaurant was completely packed, standing room only, with a 30 minute wait for a dinning table, maybe the kitchen staff was overwhelmed 🤔 because it looked like it was utter chaos 😳 in the cooking area, maybe it was a combination of the two. Now I've owned a small Mom & Pop BBQ restaurant in Orange a few years back, so I know that being busy is a very good thing and it says good things about the food you offer, so congrats to Wise Guys on that score, but all the extra business isn't gunna do you any good if you cannot manage the crowd's orders. Just food for thought (no pun intended 😊) Now back to my experience, I phone ordered, told to wait 50 minutes before pickup, kinda long of a wait 😑 but okay no worries. Arrive at the pizzeria 50 minutes later, paid for my order and that's when things started to go "South" my order was not together, pizza came first, box felt like it had been in the warmer for quite a while, server said she had to go find Mac n Cheese dinner, came back a few minutes later with order, then she says she has to go get the wings, she comes back 5-10 minutes later telling me my wing order got lost and I will have to wait 15-20 minutes for the wings to be cooked... They did provide a gift card for the cost of the wings and offered me a beverage while I waited. That was a nice customer service, gesture and I accepted both. However, the delay in getting my full order of food, and the time that my pizza and the mac n cheese were just sitting around getting cold did not enhance their flavor nor our dinning experience in a positive manner. By the time, I got home the pizza and the Mac n Cheese were both cold, OH and those itialian wings I ordered and had to wait an extended period of time to receive, We're NOT! the wings I ordered 🙃 I ordered the special house Frank's wing sauce, what I got was some itialian herbs sauce on my wing order. As far as the quality of the food "Not Impressed" and somewhat really disappointed. 😞 The Mac n Cheese was unique, not quite what we expected but it was enjoyable 😋 The wings, Like I said the wings were someone else's order but were tender and flavorful, I'd like to try the again but with the flavor I ordered 😇 Now for the pizza, the pizza was Not Good! Simple as that I ordered the regular crust, it was so extremely dense and hard, it seems as if the proper dough recipe wasn't followed, not enough yeast or rise/proofing time. The dough was so dense and hard that my gumms and teeth ached from the chewing Now like I said at the beginning of this review, "every restaurant is entitled to a bad day" and that's what I'm chucking this one up to These folks must be doing it right because they were so very busy on Friday night (oh by the way this is a great place to bring the entire family, very kid friendly. They have a great menu full of sandwiches and other items I want to try, even though my first meal was less than satisfactory, I was very impressed by their customer service gesture (when my order got delayed customer service is a lost art and quality in today's marketplace) I am gunna give Wise Guys another try maybe I'll go during the week for some lunch, I do have a gift card for some wings, after all and they also have a great beer selection. 😋 So if you in the neighborhood stop by, tell them...

My husband and I just got married on the 14th of January and instead of going with big cattering, we were lucky enough to find this smaller owned company. We had 55 people there, we ordered enough to make sure we didn't run out. 2 chicken Alfredo, one spaghetti in meat sauce, one spaghetti in marinara, all full trays, 2 full salads, two full garlic breads. Thought omg this will not be enough food as I saw people getting their portion sizes. We ended up with a little bit of chicken Alfredo left over, like 6 servings, both trays almost completely gone, and half of the other two spaghettis, mixed them together, making one full tray left over. All garlic bread gone, and one full tray of salad left. People were enthused and excited and loved all of it. (The salad was so good we used it for an event the next day.) People were coming back for 2nds and THIRDS! We had the best time with Mike the main manager helping us and speaking with us about our order. Such kind and good people here. The food was such a hit. Now I have so much left overs, nothing is going to waste. We all absolutely loved the food and so glad because we so many compliments! Helped make the wedding a big hit ♡ Huge thank u to the crew at Wise Guys, you guys are always so busy and the food didn't taste...

Management read

Tonight’s experience needs a review in hope that management will take action. Our other visits have been pretty good but also lacked in the service area. Tonight was another story. Came an hour before close and we were the last customer to come before they closed. We waited 45 minutes for 3 dishes all the while watching the employees gather around joking in the back kitchen. Mind you we were the only people eating there. The other two tables outside next to us were left filled with plates until after 9. After about 35-40 minutes and watching 2 of the kitchen staff drinking beers tucked past the oven I went and asked them if they had forgotten about our order. From his reaction they had. About 10 minutes later they bring the food and the minestrone is cold. The other food is good.

We did not leave a tip because the service was honestly terrible. Like the worst I’ve had. When we left he asked how everything was and we told him it took forever and the soup was cold. He said yes, I’m sorry I won’t argue with you on that one.

They made us feel invisible and unimportant. It’s a...

Wise Guys y'all know how to make a pie delicious! I love stopping by this place after hitting up the local trail system for a mountain bike ride. You can imagine I am Hungry! They have a huge selection of pizzas to order from, pasta, calzones, salads and many more. Let's get to what I order today. I couldn't decide on the margherita pizza or a Mediterranean pizza. And after comparing how many toppings I'd get I went with the Mediterranean pizza and added mushrooms. I'm glad I did because this hits you with flavors from the cheeses mixed with sun dried tomatoes and my favorite of all the kalamata olives drizzled with balsamic. I definitely went into Homer Simpson mode after my first bite. Uuggghh! I did order a garden salad to add some more veggies and the balsamic dressing was as the kids say these days "Bussin!" I can't wait for my next ride out that way to have a reason to stop by and visit the kind folks here. Just a heads up the pizza is definitely worth the wait y'all! Get out and eat some!

We normally really like Wise Guys but this last visit with friends was disappointing. Service was great and the ambiance was what we expected, but the food was on the poor side for most of us. I ordered the Milan Pizza (sausage, onions, mushrooms), my buddy ordered the calzone, and our wife's ordered the fettuccini alfredo. The calzone came in warm and tasty. My pizza came in tasty but lukewarm - like it had been sitting out for a while. The pasta in both fettuccini's were very undercooked. The sauce just so-so. They were barely edible - and we didn't want to wait to tell the waiter to redo them. (They original order took a while even through they didn't look too busy, and the husband's would have finished their meal by that time. I hate giving Wise Guy's this rating - since I love their pizza - but I really hope this was a fluke with the undercooked pasta and the not-hot pizza.

First time here and have to say we really enjoyed it. The server recommended the hot Italian sub. It was really delicious, especially with the pasta salad that comes with it. My two other friends had a pastrami sandwich and a chicken pesto focaccia sandwich and they both enjoyed their's too. Also for starters, we had the garlic knots and they hit the spot. The marinara sauce was tasty and we all agreed we should also try the pizza next time! Thanks for the good eats!
