What an amazing surprise while traveling from Wisconsin through this beautiful and well-kept twon of Oregon,IL, I saw a historical building with the letters "Bäckerei." I had to go in and found a every eclectic place with delicious artisan pastery and breds. I had an almond croissant which was clearly based on hand floded layers made with real butter and filled with an soft smooth almond paste, just like you would find in some rare places in southern Germany...
