So let me try this again.... I wrote a review of my experience last night and it's nowhere to be found... Hmmmmm. So last night was my daughter's 11th birthday, she picked Elmer's to have her Birthday dinner. Both my daughters and my husband had never been here before so my family of 5 went to eat. We walked in and were greeted and seated promptly. After a couple minutes we had our drinks and had finally made our decisions on what to eat. While we were waiting for our food my husband and I went to the lounge to play a few minutes on the slots, our girls were with my mother at the table. Upon walking into the lounge the bartender yelled at us both that he was closed, I smiled at him and asked if he was joking, he then rudely said he just called for last call. I asked if we could play slots because we weren't drinking, he then yelled at us AGAIN... "You got 5 minutes" my husband and I walked out of the lounge in disbelief of what just happened. We got back to the table and I googled the restaurant and to our surprise they were closing in 8 minutes. No one even told us that when we first arrived or had said anything of the sort the whole time we were there. I then asked my husband if we should get our order to go so they weren't waiting on us and asked to speak to the manager about the incident in the lounge. A few minutes later a young man came over I asked if he was the manager he said yes, I explained what happened and he said he would be sure to let the general manager know about the incident and then we asked for our order to go. Every worker in the restaurant kept staring at us and seemed very irritated with like we did something wrong. My daughter apologized for picking this place and was about to cry because of how we were being treated. They brought us our food and my husband went to pay the bill, the manager didn't comp anything for how we were treated... Nothing. Needless to say we paid for our food and let in total disappointment. My husband and daughter's said they will never go back there especially with how we were treated their first time ever being there. My husband said they should be treating every customer like it's their first time there so it attracts people to come back. This is now a horrible memory for my daughter on her birthday and I think the staff needs to be talked to and/or possibly retrained. This was completely unacceptable and I hope no other family has to be disrespected...

Wow. I hardly know where to start. This was the worst restaurant experience I've had in years and possibly ever.

First, I asked for no ice in my bloody Mary and it took me telling the lady 3 times for her to understand that. After I received my drink the second time I'm pretty sure they left out the alcohol which is lame. I asked for my eggs to be fired over easy. At first they weren't fried and they took them back, then they returned still not fried and this time they weren't even over easy anymore because they were over cooked... At this point I also noticed half of my meal was missing... Once I finally got the rest of my meal and received the check they had added an extra meal to the bill so that had to be corrected... Also after asking for jam, which used to be standard on every table, many if the containers had food stuff and buttery/oily finger prints and other unknown things on the outside of them and I'm expected to handle these then handle my toast with the same hands? DISGUSTING. I hope this explains to the servers why I didn't leave a tip today. I honestly didn't even feel like paying for the food after that terrible experience. I will definitely be going to biscuits cafe the next time I go out for breakfast. On top of all that the restaurant was so loud I couldn't hear my wife sitting right next to me. Why was everyone in there yelling? It gave me a headache. What a terrible demographic to have to be around while trying to enjoy a breakfast out with my wife and baby. Usually people complain about babies making noises and being a nuisance but in this case it was all the other "adults" around the room that apparently don't know what using "inside voices" means. Terrible atmosphere and even worse service. I don't know if it was due to a language barrier since I speak English or a lack of wanting to provide quality service to someone of a different race because I'm white or...

I rarely take the time to write review's on dining experiences, if a restaurant has poor customer service or the food is blah I just don't go back. I have to say this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've had. I was seated to a table and was waiting 15 mins at least for a server, this was a Friday night after 8pm the place was very quiet. A couple were seated after me and served while I was still waiting, after a long 15 mins a waiter came and took my order, the food arrived at a good time though was still waiting on my beer. The prime rib I ordered was very bland and the corn chicken soup had little flavour, by this point I though I'm not coming back here again passion learn. I was still finishing my beer when I was told we closed at 9 do u want a box, I certainly wasn't taking the food with me, it was 904pm. So I got up to leave and pay upon the lady at the front rudely said ur card is declined, knowing full well there was money in the account I asked to run it again, declined, I was already upset by this point with the while experience id received, I said I'd have to go with draw money with response I got u knew this card would decline. I couldn't believe what I was hearing wow i scraped out the $23 dollars from my...

I'm not a big breakfast person, and I tend to shy away from places that have so many locations that the quality and service has diminished with every new one open... Elmer's was definitely not that, as I previously judged and I just ultimately stayed away from all these years. Shame on me. My husband REALLY wanted to go to Elmer's. He loved it as a kid. I, thinking it was like Denny's or Shari's, did not want to go. I reluctantly went and I'm so glad I did!!! The food was AMAZING!! I got the German pancake meal. I ate the entire thing it was so good! They have a nice selection of breakfast and lunch/dinner items! I'm excited to go back. The staff were all very friendly! My husband said it looks exactly the same as it did when he was a kid. Very nostalgic! They do seasonal menu items where, upon ordering, they donate money to the Rose Festival and cancer research. I love it when local businesses give back. The only bad thing is it's very crowded (furniture-wise). The booths are so tight that you don't have breathing, or even wiggle room. It's not comfortable. Otherwise definitely go!!

My fiancee and I as well as our son came here for breakfast before venturing to the coast on Friday 8 20 21 and I specifically picked Elmer's because I am never disappointed with any of their locations. Almost never. The food here was okay but I was very disappointed with my potato pancakes. Every other Elmer's I have eaten at has had wonderful, crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside potato pancakes that are made traditionally with shredded potatoes and onions being formed into a pancakes with a SMALL amount of flour to bind it. What I recieved when I ordered them were regular pancakes with onions and potatoes in them. Horrible texture and very undercooked, not to mention it just wasn't what I ordered. I'm not sure if this is how someone was taught to make the dish or if someone was just being lazy but instantly made me regret coming to the location that morning.

So let me start off this article by saying, I ate this food in the bar. The service and staff were definitely five star, fast and friendly. Inside the bar atmosphere is nice 70's style but comfy. The bartender even gets an extra star for turning off soap operas from the TV.that is a no-brainer but there's always one old lady that gets mad. Lol. okay so I got pancakes and chicken fried steak with eggs. the pancakes are five stars, whipped butter pancakes were cooked perfect, and I'm a pancake snob.chicken fried steak with surprisingly tasty, the batter tastes just like chicken batter, which I thought was great. but over top of the chicken-fried steak there was this white gravy that wasn't right. No it wasn't bad, it just wasn't exactly I was expecting. so basically everything else was great, just the gravy needs work.I will come back again, and just tell him to hold the gravy.
