What a little gem discovered in the middle of downtown Orland, Indiana. Quaint and cozy atmosphere, scrumptious homemade salads, soups and sandwiches that exceeded the expectations of this very picky foodie! Being a vegan, though not offering such options on their menu , they bent over backwards and accommodated me by making a salad that I would make in my own kitchen. Very generous portion of organic greens, a variety of veggies, pecans and cranberries then topped with a homemade raspberry vinaigrette that was out of this world. Coming from a die-hard olive oil and lemon juice fan, it was well worth the deviation, which says a lot, if you knew my strict dietary standards. My elderly friend had their chicken salad sandwich on a croissant which she absolutely loved!
To tantalize the taste buds one can indulge in fresh, homemade desserts that include ginormous cookies, yummy cinnamon buns, brownies and cakes, though not gluten-free or vegan, that were so enticing I was almost tempted to indulge. Also, and not to be forgotten for all you ice cream fans, there's a nice assortment of hand dipped ice cream. Right now they're offering soups sandwiches and salads for lunch and breakfast on weekends.
I highly recommend checking out this hidden diamond, on their FB page and drool for yourself. I guarantee you will not be...

We are extremely thankful for Esther and Mark running this place. Sweet Summers has a great vibe, clean, amazing food, and amazing and kind owners. It's the...
