I visited for the first time, last week. It had been a long day and sushi was on the mind. I kept it simple: ordered to a couple of spicy tuna rolls and a miso soup, to-go. (This ended up being a long review, but the summation is on the bottom if you want to scroll down.)
Environment:
It was busy and bustling, but upon entering, the restaurant was clean and inviting. Nicely lit.
Timeliness:
My food was ready when I came in. (I ordered online; very convenient, no extra fees). They were organized and it was a quick exchange to receive my food.
Experience:
After leaving and paying, I left and ate my food in the car. Seeing everyone enjoying their food so much, I decided not to wait. The food was neatly packaged and everything was ready for me. I wish I had taken a picture, as I would have included it here, but I did not expect to leave a review, as this is not my norm.
Food:
Fresh, fresh, fresh! Spicy tuna that isn't too strong or spicy. Sushi rice, was perfectly fresh. The soup was piping hot and not too salty (which often happens with miso soup). Delicious!
Employees:
Despite being peak hour, smiles were present from employees. During that small time, I have to mention a shining star of the show. There was a young man, who was all smiles. He was extremely busy working back and forth and yet, he seemed very chipper. I had questions to ask, and I gravitated to him for them, because he seemed so welcoming.
It's not often that you find individuals who seem happy to be where they're at. Especially in a high pressure, busy hour. But this young man was so light hearted, and more than happy to answer my questions, despite being immersed in what he was doing. I didn't feel like I was burdening him with my simple questions. His name was Nico. His overall attitude wiped away the other negative and unrelated bad services I had received from other places, that day. So he is more than worth, mentioning.
Overall:
I don't normally write reviews, but I had to come back and leave a review, and ultimately- if you're craving fresh sushi, forget Publix! While Publix is 7-8/10, Su Hi Eatstation is 10/10, and just around the corner. And while you're in, don't forget to say hi to Nico, if you see him, and say hi. We need more shining stars in this world, and they need to be reminded that they stand out.
Brava, Sushi Hi Eatstation! I will be back and highly, highly recommend your location to...
Read moreI've been a Loyal Ninja since my first Sus Hi experience at the original UCF Orlando DOJO (so for my detailed thoughts on the Sus Hi experience, check out that review!)
The Narcoossee location faces the main road; convenient parking nearby in a clean, safe area makes the location feel relaxed and polished, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seats to cater to your dining preferences. I usually stop here every year after a long day at Megacon Orlando (and it turns out that showing up in full cosplay makes you more than welcomed!).
Two kiosks allow you to digitally place your order, then have it delivered to your table in a smooth, self-paced manor. The DOJO was quite busy the evening I went for dinner, with a "20 minute wait" sign displaying the estimated preparation period. Television screens airing reruns of Avatar: the Last Airbender and Sus Hi customization tips commercials helped pass the time, as did enjoying the restaurant's elaborate wall mural and list of ninja "rules."
My custom-order bowl tasted as fresh and excellent as always, so I focused my attention on a few new appetizers.
Krab Rangoons - Not NEW per se, but delicious enough to warrant their own mention! These crispy-brown wonton shells are shaped like crowns for a reason because their taste is KINGLY! Always warm, filled with gooey, creamy-sweet seasoned meat and cheese, even the pickiest eaters at my table devour these like hotcakes.
Truffle Rice Tots - Leave it to Sus Hi to create such an American-Asian fusion as this. Rice & nori tempura with truffle oil, spicy mayo, scallions, & sesame seeds tastes as good as it sounds. These are a great alternative to Rice Fries with their more bite-sized, sharable portions.
S'mores Beignets - Trust me: you're going to want to go ALL THE WAY with the beignets and make 'em S'MORES. You get three, palm-sized, fried croissants, perfect for sharing (even in halves) around your table. The dough itself flakes with every bite, without being overly sweet. The topping combines nostalgic chocolate Nutella with fire-torched marshmallow and crispy graham crackers for the ultimate childhood snack with a mature twist.
I was very pleased with my service and experience at Sus Hi in Narcoossee and look forward to stopping by again. Those S'mores Beignets aren't going to eat...

Before anything, I want to stress that my partner and I adore Sus-Hi. We've had tons of in-store experiences that have been wonderful, and we very much will continue to be repeat customers. That being said, we have had repeat issues when ordering delivery (UberEats). There always seems to be a forgotten item (for us, usually avocado). We aren't the type to complain, so we didn't reach out about any of these occurrences in the past. We were just hungry and wanted to eat our food. No big.
This evening, I'm embarrassed to admit that I made a special instruction note not to forget the avocado this time. I felt like an a** typing it, but my partner loves avocado and w/ an upcharge for a premium item - it's disappointing to not get it.
Enough about the avocado; we got the avocado! But on the small bowl order, which was only: white rice, spicy krab, shrimp tempura, cucumber, scallions, purple cabbage, sweet potato flakes, and ginger... I also got jalapenos?
I'm unsure where the mistake came from, whether it be a rush, or placement of the food items on the line - or even unconscious movement. But jalapenos were no where on our ticket.
All I ask as a fan and supporter of the business, is to really stress about correctly reading tickets and SI's - even through rushes and peak times. I honestly feel like getting delivery at this point just means I won't have an accurate order. It's a bummer.
I'm attaching the photos of the small bowl order as it was printed and the bowl that arrived to me for consumption.
I just want continued effort for consistency and nothing else. Thank you for...
