This place seems to be a hidden gem. The only reason why we knew about it was because of someone's Instagram post when it first opened, but I'm glad we went and we will definitely be coming back. We started off with the Boombox and Drop Shot signature cocktails. Both of them were fantastic and the presentation was great, especially the Boombox. It comes in a large boombox shaped cup, so you really get lot out of it. For our entrees, we got the Tempo Burger with sweet potato fries and the Mortadella & Pimento Grilled Cheese with regular fries and cheese + bacon. Just like the drinks, both were great. The grilled cheese was more like a melt with a little bit of sweetness and the burger had two smashed patties, which I'm a big fan of. On top of everything else, the service was also top-notch. Our server, was attentive and explained the menu very well. I also appreciated that she went ahead and clarified some menu items that other customers seem to often misunderstand to ensure that everyone knew what they were ordering. At one point, the manager (I'm assuming) came over and was talking to us. He was super friendly and seemed to really care about our experience. I wish we had taken some pictures of the food and drinks, but I didn't expect to write a review, because I never have before. I am leaving one though, because at the time of writing, there aren't many reviews and I feel like they deserve...
Read moreEverything about this meal/experience was sub-par. Came for my birthday brunch with 7 guests. Reservation made days before. Table wasn’t ready but the wait wasn’t long so that’s fine. Drinks were superb if you don’t mind waiting 20-25 minutes for them or in between rounds. The food was the worst part of the experience. Appetizers were delivered incomplete & when we notified manager she said “let me check.” Came back & said “oh the cheese plate doesn’t come with crackers” although if is clearly listed on the menu. I told the manager that our meal was starting out poorly & by the end of our meal she never returned to check & see if our experience improved. Crab cakes were mostly breading, prosciutto flatbread was not properly cut & impossible to bite. Entrees were severely under seasoned (zero salt). 3 of us ordered steak & eggs. Steak was a good cut but poorly prepared. Again no seasoning, temperatures were off & they were as dry as possible even the medium rare. Potatoes come with “pickled onions” & only one plate actually came with onions & they were raw, not pickled. Omelette was bland, again no salt. The best thing was the burger which is pretty hard to mess up. I would have much preferred to spend my birthday at a Wendy’s & I can confidently say not one of our 7 guests will...
