Tavistock—if this is your standard, you’ve officially lost a loyal local.
I’ve supported multiple Tavistock properties for years and spent a lot of money at this bar in particular. But after tonight, I’m honestly done.
We came in dressed like what we are—normal Lake Nona residents. Not underdressed, not sloppy, just casual. And somehow, that made us invisible. We waited over 30 minutes while the bartender stared right at us and didn’t approach. Had to repeat our order four times: a double Titos & soda, double gin & soda, and a Cosmo—which ended up costing over $100, with no clear communication or care.
To make matters worse, a clearly drunk woman was yelling over us, invading our space, and falling into us at the bar. The bartender? Laughing along with her like it was cute. It wasn’t. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional.
We didn’t come to be part of a scene—we came to enjoy a place we’ve supported for years. And this time, we were treated like we didn’t belong.
We’re known at every Tavistock business in the area, but clearly that means nothing. Luckily, our favorite Lake Nona restaurant isn’t even owned by Tavistock—and there, we’re treated like family no matter who we are or how we show up.
This wasn’t just bad service. It was a loud message. And if corporate doesn’t see this, don’t worry—I’ll make...
Read moreSunday, June 2, 6pm. I feel bad to be writing this review cus I’ve been multiple times and it was great. However, the service received tonight was just unacceptable. We live in the area and were walking our dog and decided to stop in for a drink. I stayed with our dog outside because obviously puppers are not allowed inside. I did not have my ID as I do not bring my wallet every time I bring my dog out. Regardless, that’s fine if you can not serve me because I don’t have my ID. I get that. However, this specific bartender told my husband “well I’m not serving your underage girlfriend” which is just extremely disrespectful. You shouldn’t be treating customers like that no matter the establishment. Like I said, don’t care being rejected cus I don’t have my ID (although I’m 26) but do care how we were...
Read moreAmbiance seemed good. Great music (live). I was really looking forward to an after dinner drink with my wife before we went up to our room. Unfortunately, we got passed over several times and ended up leaving after 15 minutes with zero acknowledgment.
If you are busy, I get it.....just say "I'll be right with you". But to completely ignore us and continue chatting is unacceptable.
Hotel great--this bar in the hotel--you probably should just walk down the road to the...
