My friend and I went to dinner recently and I must say the experience was EXCEPTIONAL. We sat out on the veranda. I arrived very hungry so it felt like it took quite a bit of time for the appetizer to arrive. We started with a few seasonal cocktails. I had the seasonal margarita and was surprised it arrived without a salt or sugar rim. I wasn't given the option of either. The crab dip our server suggested was AMAZING!!! It had many pieces of lump crab in it! A definite standout!! My friend had the tequila chicken and said it was really good! We split a side of the Quinoa medley because it sounded so different with craisins, edamame and toasted almonds. It was really great!! I think it tasted like it had orange blossom honey in it. It was topped with an herbal dressing and I thought it was also great! The creator of this recipe deserves serious props! Please make this a complete dish with some mediterranean chicken skewers or roasted vegetables for vegetarians or something!!! It is delicious and great for the health concious. I had an Above Par burger and chose the turkey option. I did have a conversation asking the server how the turkey is but, it came out like a cross between sawdust & sand on HOLE #2 of the golf-course and chewing gum.(Sorry)🫣 It had no moisture beyond a smear of the fig preserves. The flavor combo of the fig perserves, nut-crusted goat cheese medallion, Neuske's bacon, arugula and the seasoning of the burger is top notch! I would try it again but, would try it with the beef instead. When asked how the food was I was completely honest. Well, let me tell you, that is when the staff went OVER AND ABOVE on customer care! I have never received such determination from a team to make something go beyond any expectations we could have imagined!!I came home with the rib special of Wednesday & a side of that quinoa!! THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH, Bobby and everyone! We...
Read moreBuyer beware! We used this venue for my Aunt’s funeral who died of cancer. We wanted it to be special. Unfortunately, the venue took advantage of our grief by doing the bare minimum and even excluding things that were itemized on the invoice. For example, the tables and chairs were not set up correctly. There was a cash bar, but we also paid for a drink station which they never provided so most people thought they had to use the cash bar. Essentially, the venue was trying to make extra money off of our guests. The food was another disaster. We were supposed to get these big sandwiches—they had pictures of what these should look like—however, the venue chose to put barely anything between the bread. I actually didn’t even realized there was meat on the sandwiches because they looked just like they had only 1 piece of cheese. The condiments for the sandwiches also were bare minimum and not refilled. They also seemed to have a shortage of staff working, because the only person who stayed the whole time was the cash bar. I only saw two other servers when it was time to cut the cake we brought; the rest of the time those servers were working in the restaurant next door. We brought these concerns up to the venue right after and they strung us along saying they would call back with a manager, then we kept calling and there was all kinds of excuses for why they weren’t available to talk. Then finally they tried to gaslight us by saying, “oh why are you bringing this up weeks later?” When we have been trying to contact them the entire time. Eventually they gave a couple hundred dollars back for the drink station, even though it should have been more since the food was not correct either. They even admitted on the call that the food was underwhelming and that they didn’t put enough on the bread. BUYER BEWARE. These crooks will take your money and take advantage of your grief...
Read moreReservation was made for a party of 7 at 7:30pm with a request for indoor seating. When called for our table, they tried to seat us outside. They finally seated us inside where we apparently had a new waiter. It took over one hour to get drinks. We actually had to go to the bar for refills a few times ourselves because he was nowhere to be found! When he finally took our dinner orders at about 8:45pm, two came back incorrect. They arrived at 9:15pm. He replaced them with the correct orders about 10:00 pm. By then we had summoned the manager who arrived at 10:16pm to find out why it took 2 1/2 hours to get drinks and dinner and what would he do to make us happy. Ken, the manager said he would "lay our bills down in front of us". We were happy to pay for our drinks, but thought we deserved a discount for the inconvenience of waiting so long for dinner. He rudely insisted he would not discount anything, standing with his arms crossed indicating he was immovable. The two dinners that arrived late were sent back because the two individuals were disgusted and no longer willing to buy dinners from them. By then the entire dining area was nearly empty except for our group. There were a few people at the bar. We have all been to the Tap Room many times since our business and residences are nearby and we usually enjoy their food. This time the service was so bad I felt I had to post something; I would give it 1/2 a star if that was an option. So disappointing, especially management. Why would they give a party of 7 to a new waiter on a Saturday night and not help him? We were told this was his third day. We were celebrating a birthday of a customer of theirs who spends quite a bit of time there. We were all disappointed and appalled because the service was exceptionally bad all around. He was upset that he had suggested...
