I ordered two pizzas and cheese bread for pickup. On one of my pizzas I ordered pepperoni, mushroom mix and roasted red peppers. When I arrived to pick up my order, the cashier was checking the pizzas to make sure they were correct and he asked me if I ordered crushed red peppers on my pizza. I said they were supposed to be roasted red peppers. Another gentleman came over and took over the interaction and said it came through on their system as peppers so that's what they thought I wanted. I told him on their website it said roasted red peppers and again he said it came through to them as peppers, he even pulled the order ticket to show me so they just added crushed red peppers. It almost felt like he was trying to prove me wrong.
I brought my phone inside and showed him that their online ordering tool on their website clearly said "Roasted Red Peppers," he said he was sorry for the confusion but that was it. Look, I get it, sometimes mistakes happen, sometimes technology doesn't work right, but how about having some common sense and understanding that I didn't pay the additional topping fee of $2.50 for crushed red peppers. Those are free anyways, just like parmesan packets. He kept telling me that the order came through to them as "peppers," like he was justifying the mistake. I was expecting him to offer to remake my pizza correctly, but he didn't and it didn't seem like he wanted to either.
The pizza was good, too spicy for my wife because of all the crushed red peppers so she had to eat the kids pizza. I just expect to have the pizza I ordered when I pay $65 for two pizzas and...
Read moreWe went on a Friday night. They were slammed, which is good as they’re a small biz. When we first walked in we were a bit confused if we just go sit or just order at the counter?!? Probably could use a sign there. But then the counter lady told us to sit at a table & she would come by. We sat at our table, menus in hand. We browsed and were ready to order everything by the time the waitress came. We waited about 10 min for a waitress, after ordering we waited about 40-45 min for our pizza. The waitress apologized for the wait, which was nice. We knew they were busy upon arrival. I wasn’t in a hurry, but if I was..this woulda probably made me wish I called ahead.
Our drinks were refilled timely and the waitress checked on our table periodically. After our food came, it was delicious. We had boneless wings & pizza. It was pretty loud in the dining area inside (they also have outdoor seating), they had baseball on the tvs. They have an array of different beers, however we didn’t try any.
Overall, it was good pizza & wings. Could they been better prepared for a Friday night rush? Yes, but I was happy a small business was getting business as I know what it’s like as I run my own business. I would...
Read moreWhat a great little jewel tucked along La Canada! I love Zpizza; their pizza (which is the obvious attraction) is generously topped with fresh, wholesome ingredients and cooked to perfection in a brick oven. Salads are HUGE, and never skimp on toppings either. If you'd rather have fries, their garlic fries are a must-try (though so are the truffle fries...as if the taste itself wasn't enough to sell you, the portion size is generous as well). In addition, their wings are crispy and packed with flavor. Zpizza also offers a nifty "pour your own beer" tap system, which is honestly a fun thing to try out! The atmosphere is casual enough to bring your whole family (there are long tables in the back where kids can watch through the glass as the cooks toss the dough). But it is also a great place to meet up with colleuges and friends, or catch a game on one of the four TVs! Staff is pleasant and hard-working, and keep the restaurant impeccably clean. The prices themselves are very reasonable for the quality of the ingredients, and if you are a member of the Ztribe, then you get points every time you dine, in addition to exclusive deals!!! Definitely worth checking out, but be prepared to fall in...
