The Overlook — Restaurant in Oro Valley

Went for lunch with two friends and we weren’t disappointed. 4stars because they’re undergoing construction and it was confusing on how to get in but I’m sure that will be resolved with renovation. We started with the artichoke dip and it was very good. Large portion with good amount of tortillas chips. I had the cheeseburger. I ordered medium (pink center) and it came medium well so you may want to order medium rare for medium. I also ordered grilled onions but they made it too salty so I scraped them off and I give the burger 4/5 stars. My friend ordered the Cobb Salad that was fresh and had a lot of chicken overall it was tasty and she’d order it again. The hit was the Cod Po’boy. The Cod was thick and crispy. Very tasty. Went for Sunday breakfast - I don't think the "buffet" is going to survive. It should not be called a buffet, it reminds me of my high school cafeteria. Only 5 dishes were out plus an omelette bar for an overpriced amount. Five dishes feaured burned bacon, government sausage, cold eggs which were not covered, and french toast. Omelette was nothing special, something I could make myself. You're paying for the ambience and view here, quite a shame they don't put any effort into the food. Bathrooms were dirty. I cannot recommend this place to anyone for any reason, and I predict the breakfast will cease to exist...

Went for dinner on a Western Wednesday. Beautiful views, watched a storm roll through. The food was decent, my SO liked it a lot more than I did. The ribs fell off the bone, although I thought they were rather dry. It could be that it was towards the end of the day. We arrived at 6:30 and it was dead by 7:30, we were the last to leave at 8 pm. Either it's a very early crowd there or people stayed home because of the storm. The prices were a bit high in my opinion.
