We’ve been buying pizza from Town Hall for years. We don’t eat a lot of it, but theirs is always amazing. Especially the Detroit Style. Killer!!
Last night we took a break from home cooked dinner and went there. It was 715-ish, and they were packed. We were, however, able to go New York style and get seated at a table for six with a couple already seated.
We haven’t had pasta in months. I ordered the Ravioli Florentine & Vodka sauce. Janie ordered the Baked Spaghetti with Meatballs and Meat Sauce. We both ordered Zuppa Toscana.
In spite of a full house we had our soup in minutes. Amazing comes to mind. I’ve had Zuppa Toscana in at least a half dozen venues over the years. Their deliver is easily the best I’ve ever had. Every component cooked perfectly. The balance in seasonings; spot on. Texture exactly what I was hoping it would be.
I didn’t try the Baked Spaghetti so I can only say Janie said it was very good.
The Ravioli… I’ve want to try vodka sauce on something other than pizza for quite a while, in preparation for creating my version at home. This was a great introduction. The sauce is light; not too “tomatoe-y” but still the delicious flavors coming through. Spice level was great - just enough, not too much. Texture was smooth, light, creamy. There was an interesting hint of sweetness that set everything off. Add to this to ricotta and spinach ravioli. All the flavors of the cheese and spinach perfectly balanced, and cooked to just the right texture; bite in the greens, but still not crunchy. The ravioli itself was cooked al dente as I like it, and rounded out the dish.
Even though they were running a hectic pace, staff always maintained contact, kept everything going, and wait times were much less than anticipated. Plus they run a massive take-out business if you want to eat at home.
We will be back, and I highly...
Read moreSpectacular customer service and ordering experience. I’ve been looking for a decent pizza place nearby and don’t know what took me so long to try this one! I did have some glitch in the online ordering that really limited the menu choices. So I’m including pictures of the full paper menu here so you can see all they have to offer. They are more than happy to help so I will likely call in for my next order. I got a cauliflower crust veggie pizza because I’ve been eating better food as of late and wanted to try it. Cauliflower crust as a concept has its issues with consistency and it tends to be difficult to get right. They did a great job with the flavor of it. It did stick to the cardboard but I was able to get it off. The consistency isn’t like “normal” pizza crust, but cauliflower crust isn’t normal. They did the best that can be hoped for with cauliflower crust and mind you that’s a big undertaking. I was impressed! But if you are expecting it to be the same as normal crust and just be magically healthy don’t go for cauliflower crust. Ironically I got their breadsticks (not a healthy option). They are good. Now that I know about their pasta and many other options, I’ll have plenty more to review very soon! This may be my regular cheat...
Read moreIf I could leave zero stars I would. Absolute joke of an establishment and awful customer service. All their employees are teenagers who don’t know what they’re doing. We ordered carryout a few months ago and they messed up our order twice… in the same night. As in, we got a remake pizza because they messed up and then they messed up the remake. And our order is not complicated: pepperoni with goat cheese. We decided to give them another shot and they were fine the few times after that. Then today we ordered the same thing. The girl on the phone said “blue cheese?” And I said “no, goat cheese.” My fiancé went to pick up and they confirmed THREE times that it was goat cheese, even though he said that looks like blue cheese. He got home and I tried it. Sure enough, not goat cheese. I called and said “this is the third f— time, I want my money back.” Came in to get a refund and they had me speak to the manager, who, instead of apologizing (yep, not a single “sorry”), got defensive and said I “cussed out” her employee. I said “one cuss word is not cussing someone out.” She gave me my money back without another word. Honestly, it’s not surprising that the list of people they owe credits to is four pages long (and that was a few...
