WaWa Teriyaki — Restaurant in Orting

We used to eat here 2-3 times a month between 2020-2022/2023 before new management. Food was absolutely amazing and consistent every single time. I don’t know what recipes the new management is using but it tastes cheap and fast. We tried them when it changed and was unimpressed with the quality and portions. We tried it again today and it was actually worse! What used to take 25 mins to make now takes 10mins so if you want fast food this is great because there isn’t a Panda Express in town so this is the next best thing I guess. There are corners being cut that are reflecting on the food quality. I ordered the Mongolian beef and it tasted like it has been just soaked in soy sauce, I took a few bites and threw it away. This place offers a little bit of everything: Japanese, Chinese and Korean food. The interior is nice, modern and comfortable. The exterior is dated and can use a fresh coat of paint. The exterior has a small dining section on a tiny deck with bar height seats.

I've been here a few times and ordered the following: -Chicken teriyaki (delicious) $13.99. 😋 -Beef Short ribs teriyaki (delicious) $25.99. Good amount of meat and thickness. 😋 -Shrimp tempura (delicious). $14.99. I enjoyed the crispiness. 😋

All of the food I've tried so far were satisfying. The female workers have been nice, quick and efficient.

I will return in the future to try other food...

First of all, the prices online, do not reflect the prices when you go to pick up your food. Second, the woman at the register helped "Jen" a woman standing behind, me who walked in after me, before addressing me. We ordered the Bento Box; the 'fried rice' was not fried, and the onions were chewy. Little to no terriyaki flavor on the chicken. The chowmein was soggy. Food was cold. Tasted like they just reheated and/or microwaved everything. Really disappointing. I would have thought being the "more expensive" restaurant would have better food; guess not.
