I have been coming here for years, and have literally never had a bad experience. I rave about Benzies, to everyone I know. It's always been one of my favorite places to eat. Tonight, I am honestly disappointed to say, that I may not be returning. The last two times I have dinned in, the customer service was less than satisfying. I usually do not complain, because I was a waitress myself for 7 years, and I know how the job can be at times..but after my experience tonight, I felt I should say something. My fiance and I both ordered a Pepsi off of the soda gun, like usual. I took a drink and it tasted like the syrup needed to be changed. My fiance said the same. I told the waitress and she just said, oh ok and walked away. She came back, to take our order and told us the owner, who was in the kitchen, said it tasted fine and didn't ask if we wanted something new or anything. My fiance and I both looked at each other in disbelief and said that we were not going to drink it, and politely asked for bottles of soda instead. We put in an order for a few appetizers and then told her what we wanted for dinner. After sitting there for 15-20 min, the waitress walked out with both appetizers and our food together. We both just looked down, and were a bit confused, as usually when we order appetizers, we get them well ahead of our food. The waitress looked at us and said "Is something wrong?" And my fiance asked if she put the appetizers in, as appetizers and she said "yeah". Mind you, we were 2 of 4 total people who were seated. She just again, walked away. We were very polite, given the circumstances, but I have to say, the customer service here has really gone down hill. It saddens me because I love coming to Benzies. I hope things change...
Read moreI have to say out of all the times I have ordered from here, this was the worst. I was told 30-40 minutes for my pizza. I knew it would be closer to an hour, but once an hour past I called and they said it was out for delivery. 20 minutes later it shows up. For me the pizza was good a usual, but if your running behind, just be honest with your customers. 04/14/2022. Up date Called as normal for a 16" for delivery and stated I had a coupon . The woman argued with me on the coupon price then argued that I didn't state the size if what I wanted. (This was not Mary) she repeatedly was argumentative with me on what I said for my order. Read moreFood is great and very edible. Let me just state, I'm a pretty consistent customer of theirs through Eatstreet.....or was rather. Due to my building being fairly old (old everything, buzzer, elevator, etc..) I wasn't able to hear my buzzer and the deliver driver got very snippy on the phone when she had to call me. I'm literally paying you to drive 2-3 blocks down and deliver the food and you're getting upset with me for having to call me on the rare occasion (I think within the past 15-20 times ordering they've had to call 2-3, very rarely do a miss a buzz or the building fails to notify me). So due to this bad experience, I'm not very inclined to continue purchasing my dinners from them anymore.
