The Pizza Barn is a laid back and rustic looking casual restaurant. The menu is pretty simple offering normal pizza joint sides and toppings. While nothing is particularly special or stand out on the menu from what I can see the variety is definitely acceptable. My party of two ordered two pizzas one stall size and one mini pie a salad and two appatiesers. The Pizza itself was delicious. Soft puffy crust with good texture. The stability of the pizza wasn't great and you would often have to use a fork to support it. Not helping was the generous amount of toppings. My pizza was half olive with full bacon extra cheese and pepperoni. The second pizza was a Alfredo chicken and broccoli pizza. And ranch added by my other party member which I thought to be weird but whatever.
The Pizza as I said was delicious. The cheese was stretchy and melty with a handful of crispy pepperoni every free inch of the pie. The sauce was sparingly spread on the pizza which I don't mind however others may want to add extra. The bacon was well seasoned and cooked to perfection not to crispy as to feel like chips but also not to chewy to feel off.
The price point is a bit higher and varies from menu item to menu item.
I don't think I can in good conscience recommend ordering their larger size of pizza called "The Barn". My smaller stall pizza came out to around twenty two dollars however a larger one would come out to around thirty five to thirty six dollars.
I do confess I eat a good deal however I could not justify that large of a price point for just a 16" pizza. If you are going for novelty my recommendation is to cook special large pizza at your own home.
however for their moderately size 12-in stall pizza or their conservative 8-in mini pie I cannot recommend Pizza Barn enough. I do not know if the price point is because of the recent Covid 19 or if this price point has been the same this entire time.
The barn size pizza could be used during a party but beside that I could not recommend spending over $30 on a pizza.
Overall so long as you avoid some of the more expensive items on the menu the pizza barn is a wonderful addition to my New...
Read moreThis was always one of our favorite places to eat in the lakes region until today. After waiting for 20 minutes to order, a member of our party went to the front to ask if we could order. We were assured the waiter would be right over. After another 5-10 minutes of watching the waiter lope around doing one little thing at a time, we went back to the front again where the waiter gave us an extremely nasty attitude. The other waitress was equally as slow. So after many years of coming here, we’re done with this place. Either have enough people working or close. Teach your staff how to multitask. When bringing a pizza, also bring the plates, for example. When you’re sooooo busy, you don’t need to clean off tables when no one is waiting to be seated and people apparently need to pay and get boxes right away. NEVER get nasty with a customer who is being polite even though they’re incredibly frustrated.
My last advice is to fire the “young man” with the horrible nasty attitude before he puts you out of business by turning away more repeat customers.
Response to the owner: I AM being honest! Perhaps your staff was not. Your restaurant was about 1/3 occupied, mostly with customers who already had their food. Your server did not only take “2 minutes” to drop off a bill and a box. I don’t appreciate you accusing me of lying! I’m heartbroken that we will never return to a place that held special meaning for my husband and I, and later for my parents and daughter. This was one of my top 4 pizza places in the entire country, so please don’t accuse me of dishonesty. I’m afraid we’re just going to have to agree to disagree. Surely your seen other reviews commenting on...

Do you enjoy a sear on your food? Maybe some light caramelization? You know, the lovely brown spots on a mushroom, an onion, or some crumbled Italian sausage, after being cooked just long enough?

If you answered yes to any or all of the above questions, then please, do yourself a favor and don't eat here. Take yourself, and anyone else in your car who would fall victim, literally anywhere else.
On a more serious note, this place obviously uses cheap canned sauce, vegetables that also come in a can or are precut and come in a plastic bag, and processed cheese that also comes in a plastic bag, and you can taste it. From other reviews and my own experience the Pizza Barn mainly prides itself on piling on these poorly sourced and cooked toppings so high you can't pick a slice up and then overcharge you for it. The flavor of a thing doesn't intensify just because you have more of that thing in your mouth.
Lastly, and probably most importantly, everything they use here is disposable. From the plastic straws, the paper plates, the plastic forks and knives and the paper napkins, to the cardboard the pizza comes served on. It's all disposable and it's wasteful. It's...
