TJ's Mainstreet Grill — Restaurant in Overbrook

Salad Bar is nice and despite the following dissapointments my wife and I agreed its worth the drive for salad bar only price since we live 5 miles away, but hot food was a disappointment. I went there because fish and chips was recommended but it was greasy and small portion size for price, $9 for fries and 3 pieces of cod that were basically same amount of meat as 1 LJS fillet. Fries tasted "old". Daughter got bacon cheddar fries and for some reason the after taste of the cheese tasted like bile/vomit. Tried to support small-town business, might try the fried chicken on weekends sometime, people say it's good. But 4 Corners and Green Acres are still the two best places...

I've been here once before, I was told it is now under different management,,, Bring in the food business also, I may be a little more critical, however as we approached, the pretty young lady sitting outside smoking, came in went back to work, never washed her hands,, that said we tried their Mexican special, canned food, I would not serve it in my establishment. The ssladtbsr was very good, our server was top notch, polite, friendly, kept a good sense of humor about her, and she was handling in excess if twenty people single handedly. I have never had problems with this restaurant until tonight. Waited 15 minutes at the table before our presence was acknowledged, while others who came in after us were being waited on. Then, went to the salad bar and there was a scraping of wet lettuce. It was refilled a half hour later. When the food finally came, my steak had a strong putrid, rancid smell and my husband's prime rib that he had ordered rare had come out well done appearing like a piece of smashed asphalt. Will never ever be back. So...
