Captain D's — Restaurant in Owasso

I actually use to have this restaurant as 5 stars because I've always loved the food and service. But over the past year it's really going down hill. I still love the battered dipped fish and the tarter sauce is the best I've ever had. I get fish at almost every restaurant I go to but none of them compare to captain d's.

One of the things that upsets me is that almost every time I come here I'm missing at least one item. The first time it happened I didn't check before I left, because I was in a rush, so I got all the way home to find out that they left my fried shrimp out that I paid extra to add on. I tried calling to see if I could have it another day because I didn't want to go all the way back up there and my food get cold but no one answered the phone. I tried the next day at a non busy time and still got no answer so I eventually just took my loss. Another thing they forget a lot is the hush puppies for my husband's chicken meal. He didn't get them so much that we had no idea his meal came with them until one day he got them and found out through the app that he should have been getting them this whole time!

Another thing that is really going down hill is the quantity. My husband doesn't like fish so he always gets the 4 piece chicken strip meal and it keeps getting smaller. This most recent time drove me over the edge and that's why I'm editing my rating. I'm including a picture of his meal. He hadn't touched his food yet and this is the size of the 4 piece chicken strip meal compared to the picture in the app. I get that most restaurants pictures don't really match what the food really looks like but this is so far off I actually think it could be false advertising.

It honestly really sucks for me and is sad because I love coming here for the fish but I'm not going to keep coming if this is all the food he's going to get for 11 dollars.

I really try not to post bad reviews but I felt like I needed to. If something happens and they fix the chicken strip quantities i will come back and change my review. I really don't want to stop...

Ordered online to pick up for dinner, the food was supposed to be ready by 6:06 but it wasn’t. We waited 6-7 minutes at the window plus time in line at the drive thru to get our order. When they gave us the order they forgot my kids drinks and it took another few minutes to get their attention and get those. Got it home and instead of my grilled salmon I got fried fish. They didn’t answer their phones so I had to drive back and then they informed me the grill is broken so they had to substitute it. Which could have been okay if they had told me or let me pick a substitution but they didn’t and I can’t eat the fish. Also, after reviewing their menu, the substitute meal I received was almost $4 in value LESS than what I ordered. So not only did I not get what I wanted, I got overcharged. I Called in an oder to pick up on my break, when I got there the door were locked due to co-vid restrictions, so I waited my turn in line. When I got to the menu to order I told them I had a call in, they instructed me to pull up, eventually I got to the window where I payed and then was instructed to pull up and some one would bring it out. After 30 min I called and asked if there was a problem and that I had been waiting longer than the 10 cars that came behind me, with no explanation they said it would be right out 15 more minutes later I was brought my order, an hour in total and oh yeah it was cold....I lost a bonus at my job and got wrote up for being late. Thanks captain Ds I'll never be back. my story was pulled off Google review and changed to blank some time the past year. The food is usually acceptable but never Fast if you are in a hurry Don't bother calling it in its to complicated...
