Today was my first day back to Giant Subs in a very-very long time. On the plus side, the sandwich flavor was better than average and the outdoor patio atmosphere was great (didnt have that patio when I was there last).
The downsides were the fact we had one 12" sandwich and one 6" sandwich. Total before we tipped was $28 but..... we didnt order any sides and we drank water. We were charged 75 cents for each water. Now nobody is going to die for paying for water but we dont pay for water at the other places in town so that was a bummer.
My 12" sandwich was listed as $14 on the menu. When I looked at my receipt at my table, I noticed a $1 up-charge for beef on top of the $14 charge. I ordered pastrami and not beef so Im not sure how that got in there. I choose not to bring it up as I didnt feel like doing so but it felt so wrong.
The other downside was the amount of meat we got wasn't as plentiful as we get at other establishments. My sandwich was FLAT like it had been compressed . That was puzzling. It was a toasted sandwich so maybe thats what they do?? To pay a grand total of $32 (with tip) for one whole (flat) sandwich and one half of a sandwich with no other purchases wasn't our idea of a good value.
Id go back if there was a special of some kind to make the value better but not at the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSo, this is going to sound negative at first (and for some reason I canāt rate their food as 5 stars, or any stars for that matter, but I would give it 5 stars), but they went above and beyond to make things right. I ordered delivery through ChowNow, and the sandwich I received was not what I ordered. I called the store, and Kristen (sic?) asked me to send a picture of the sandwich, called the owner, and she is bringing me my correct sandwich herself! Not only are their subs the best Iāve ever had, but their customer service is equally as good! Their staff is super friendly and they made things right without hesitation. I really enjoy going into the shop because of how friendly the staff is, but Iāve been sick and I didnāt want to go out and risk getting anyone else sick. But they are, the BEST sandwiches Iāve ever had, and Iāve literally tried sandwiches on 5 continents, from Dubai to Turkey to Bonaire to Africa (canāt say where š¤), as well as most US states. Itās amazing to have the best sub sandwich shop in the world here in my hometown ā¤ļø. And try their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been going to giant subs and deli for about 5 years now! And I couldnāt recommend it more!
This locally owned deli is just what you want! Great cuts of meat and cheeses on display. But the main attraction (at least in my opinion) is their subs! Fresh baked bread with fresh ingredients, and made to order in front of you! You cannot go wrong getting the turkey Ruben, my personal favorite is the Cuban with a little extra mustard! And if your lucky they have some of their max and cheese out pick up an ice bowl of that as well and your day will get instantly better!
And if I havenāt sold you yet, know that youāll be walking in and get treated by the owner or her kids that help run the store! You have to love a local business that employs the whole family! And with a good rewards system it helps bring you back to keep trying...
