We had a horrible experience at this Dairy Queen today, to the point that I’m not sure I will ever give them my business again. My mom and I each went in with a coupon for a stack burger combo. There are different options for stack burgers, so I chose the cheeseburger option, and my mom ordered the same in her separate order. The stack burger is a burger with either 2 or 3 hamburger patties on them (not a single burger obviously since they’re called a STACK burger) I showed the woman taking my order, whose name was Becky Young (per the receipt) my coupon and placed my order. My mom did the same for her order. When the orders came out, both orders contained a single cheeseburger instead of a double patty. I took mine back up to the counter and said there’s only 1 patty on here but I ordered (and paid for) the double stack burger. She immediately became defensive and said, “The stack burger comes in singles, doubles or triples and you ordered a single.” (This is incorrect, as I could see the picture of the menu board showing stack burgers are either double or triple). I told her I ordered a STACK burger and those only come in doubles or triples and I specifically ordered a double. By that time my mom has received her order and saw that she too had only gotten a single burger. She told Becky Young the same thing, that she ordered a double stack burger, but received a single patty. Becky Young told my mom that she ordered a single stack burger (again, that’s not even an option for a stack burger). Becky Young acted like we were wrong, but brought out replacement burgers to correct it. However, she again told us we ordered single stack burgers, not double. I said that’s not even an option for a stack burger and if you don’t know that maybe you don’t need to be taking orders. Instead of looking at the menu board and seeing it for herself that she has made the mistake, she told me I could leave the restaurant and stomped off. In the meantime, another employee, who said her name was Renee Bellamy, came over to our table and apologized on Dairy Queen’s behalf for the poor behavior of Becky Young (by the way, it turns out Becky Young is the manager (!) of that location).. . However, Ms Bellamy is the only reason I would ever come back to that Dairy Queen again, she was very sweet and apologetic for her colleague’s actions. At the end, Becky Young must have realized she made a mistake because she came out to our table and refunded us both. However, her actions had already put a bad taste in our mouth, figuratively...
Read moreI walked in and a couple people were waiting for food. I stood at the counter and watched 3 young workers go back and forth numerous times including coming up to give food to customers and not one of them acknowledged I existed. Just before a fourth person coming up to wait on me, a young guy came up front wearing rubber gloves and a baseball cap pulled down so far it obscured his face. He appeared to be a food prep guy. He had hair that was several inches long coming out of his cap that appeared caked with grease as it was stringy, yet clumped together at the same time. The person who finally waited on me was minimally friendly and struggled to find hamburger patties that I wanted to order ala carte in the register. When I asked her what size patties they had, she held up her hands and formed a small circle. She had no idea whether they were 1/4 pound, etc. Pretty sad experience all...
Read moreOrdered $6 meal that is supposed to include burger, fries, drink, & sundae. Their machine was broken so they offered sweet tea. I declined @ politely asked if they could adjust the bill. Manager was very annoyed. Twice she said with attitude “it’s the same price but I will give you your dollar.” Then they didn’t put the sundae in the bag. The fries were greasy and cold. The burger was ok about what one would would expect from fast food. Owner of franchise just said sorry but next time you’re in you can get your sundae. This is definitely not the first time they have messed up an order. Happens almost every time but never had anyone rude before. I quit going there for 2 yrs because of problems with orders and long waits. Guess I will just just quit this...
