What a great hidden gem that is really not hidden. Have heard about it but more along the lines of ice cream and pastries. I did see something posted about their Birria Pizza. I really enjoy Birria Tacos and have made a Birria Pizza at home. Their Pizzabirria is off the charts! Think of a pizza, quesadilla and taco rolled into one with a side bowl of spicy au jus for dipping. Diced onion, cilantro and lime wedges round it off. Taste buds are not only happy but stomach is full and we still had some to take home. We were recommended the corn in a cup which is Mexican Street Corn with all the fixings. It is sliced off the cob and combined together in a cup and served warm. So good and nowhere near the mess as you simply use a spoon to enjoy. Great choice. The Watermelon Agua Fresca was super tasty and fresh like a cold slice of summer melon. Turns out they make all of their ice cream from scratch in house. Although there were many options we went with the Coconut Cream and Egg Nog. Both were really good but the coconut reminded us of a frozen version of my grandmother’s coconut cake icing which made it my favorite this time around. Make the effort and give this place a try. Think of the benefits of a really good food truck with the added bonus of an air conditioned place to sit and amazing homemade ice cream. Just remember you are going for the food and...
Read moreThis is on my list of favourite places in Oxford! They have very good ice cream, including a selection of flavours you won't see elsewhere in Oxford, such as mamey, chamoy or tres leches. I really like the coconut on a chocolate dipped cone.
They serve hot food also, notably I highly recommend their pizza birria. It's like a gigantic quesadilla with birria (meat stew). It's served with broth for dipping (like a French dip sandwich). Messy to eat, but so good! The quesabirria tacos are also amazing (it's like a grilled cheese taco with birria meat). They have tacos, burritos, etc too.
They also have a really good mangonada (mango chamoy smoothie with a spicy tamarind stir stick), various Mexican snacks and a selection of popsicles and cakes. I had the best tres leches cake I've ever had there, but they don't always carry it. They also sell various different kinds of Mexican bread...
Read moreThe pork torta on their homemade bread was absolutely delicious with bites of fresh avocado! And don’t even try to order 2 tacos, go ahead and get 3! Those homemade tortillas are to die for! After eating, there are plenty of options for dessert but look at the homemade popsicles in the pics. Fresh fruit and cake or Oreo cookies or a little spicy strawberry?! 10/10 Got to...
