Zaap Thai Kitchen — Restaurant in Oxford

Food is very tasty and reasonably priced. My only disappointment is time frame of a pickup order. We were told 30 minutes for pickup order... I arrived 45 minutes later to be told that my order had not been started yet. When I asked why, I was told “that since it was a big order then it takes longer.” Then I was told “ we only have one cook!” My comment was that if you only had one cook, after I placed my “big order”, why was I told to pick up in 30 minutes. My big order was two fried rice, three entrees and two appetizers. While waiting, a guy brought back his fried rice, complaining that there was no meat in it , as he had ordered. $63 and 75 minutes later, I had my order. I checked my order at counter, opening my bag I saw order spilled in the bottom of bag. I committed to the waiter/cashier , but no comment. I then asked for some napkins to clean up the mess in the delivery bags. He ignored me... I ended up walking across the room to get napkins, where I cleaned up the mess that he had given me.

Love this place but was told on the phone that food would be ready in about 30 mins. So far I e been waiting for 45 mins with people in front of me that ordered almost an hour and a half ago. THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!! DO BETTER! Just because the food is amazing doesn’t mean that people are going to continue to put up with this! I’d hate to see business drop and closure but that’s foreseen with issues like this! I will not sit here for an hour and half waiting for food! I will call leave without the food and call my credit card company and dispute the charge. And when you have people calling in orders being told the food will be ready by a certain time… you should tell your employees that they shouldn’t announce “dine-ins” to the cooks so their orders can be pushed ahead! Talk about another way to add salt to a wound while people are sitting in your restaurant for over an hour waiting for their food. And NO it wasn’t short staffed….. 3-4 in the kitchen, another guy prepping orders, and two girls taking orders and helping with prepping. This isn’t good for business at all....

Best Thai place to eat in Oxford!! The wontons are the best I've ever had and plenty in a serving. Usually have to get 2 orders because I take one with me. Thai fried rice is my favorite. Portions are large and prices are very reasonable. Tons of selections and you can get it with a little or a lot of spice or none at all. You just tell the waitress. Friendly atmosphere.
