Oxford Pawn Shop & Gold Buyers — Local services in Oxford

First off, I’m a local Oxford guy and I always love to support local businesses. I’ve been going to Oxford Pawn for a few years and I love it. Occasionally I’ll look at and buy other things, but the majority of the time it’s guns, ammo, or something hunting related that I go in for. There are businesses all around locally and across the country that sometimes sell the same products and lots of times with the same prices. Some people might go here and there just to save a few bucks but I don’t care about that. What it comes down to for me is customer service and basically liking the people you’re dealing with. I could go anywhere I choose but from this point forward I’ll go to Oxford Pawn every chance I can get . Great customer service, great gun selection , great ammo selection, and very likable people. So so many places take that for granted and think the product sells itself. Well not for me. I hate dealing with people that aren’t friendly and easy to talk to. The guys there at Oxford Pawn are great. I’ve bought a few guns there and they are always quick to help out and answer any questions. Plus it only helps that I can chat a little with the guys there about hunting or random stuff. I’m posting this number one because I love the place and want you guys to know that. Do not buy a firearm over the internet from them (they list some items on usedguns.com). They won't honor the sale and will sell it in-store the next day. I purchased a rifle from them on Fri, 11/5. Order was canceled the next day. Item was then relisted. I bought it again, on 11/7. Order was again canceled the next day. I called 11/8 to find out what was going on. Spoke to someone who identified the problem as a system error, and promised to call me right back with how I could buy it (for what would be the third time). After no call-back, I called again on 11/9, spoke to someone who said they had actually sold the rifle in-store on 11/6 -- which was after I bought it the first time, and before it was relisted the second time. This store will not stand behind the a brand new Ruger LCP 380 pistol and a box of shells I bought last week. Tried it out this past weekend and it hung up every shot. Tried my friends magazine and it hung up with it too. Tried my magazine in his gun and it hung up. Returned it to the shop today and the owner REFUSED to do anything about it. He claimed Ruger will not warranty it thru him. Owner further claimed that the magazine was not all the way in when I brought it to him so that must be the problem. The magazine was empty.
