Nardelli's Grinder Shoppe — Restaurant in Oxford

I ordered through door dash, and when my dasher arrived ti pick up my order, she was told some guy already picked it up. That's kind of hard to believe though because as a door dash customer, we see what dasher was assigned to us and there was never a male assigned, only the girl who went to pick it up. She asked them to remake it, and they told her no (I was on the phone with her and heard them tell her this) A few minutes later I called and requested to speak to a manager, and the girl told me he wasn't there and asked if she could help me, I told her what happened and she said that they offered to remake it for the dasher, however they most certainly didn't because as I said I was on the phone with the dasher because she called to tell me that they handed my order to some random guy, and clearly didn't verify his phone to make sure he was supposed to pick up the order, because I was never assigned a male dasher. When I asked the employee ti remake it, she did, and I appreciate that, she was actually very nice, so this review isn't about her. Fast forward to when I went to pick it up, the girl hands me my order, apologizes, and out of nowhere some little skinny kid comes from behind the counter pretty much yelling at me telling me that I should be thankful because they didn't have ti remake my order...which number 1 was rude, and number 2, this wasn't free food, I was still charged for the order that your employees gave to the wrong person, I have not received a doordash credit for that. So I payed for delivery, and had to drive to pick up food, to be yelled at by this rude employee, who clearly wasn't raised correct, because that is not how you speak to a PAYING customer, I have my door dash receipt, I was charged for that order that one of your employees probably handed to one of their friends because like I said, I was never assigned a male door dash driver so I'm confused at how one came and...

Good place. Changed my opinion of the franchise. Had a poor experience with the Southbury location, but this one was great. The two employees were extremely friendly and helpful. I explained I had no idea what I wanted, and had only had a so-so experience the one time I had been to a Nardelli's before. The guy making the sandwich was incredibly helpful in helping me narrow down what I wanted. Both employees were very friendly and talkative.

The sandwich was good, the store was clean, the bathroom was clean and had nice decorations.

I wish I had gotten their names, I would absolutely name them. Both are stellar and probably deserve raises. They probably know who they are.

Bonus: Now I also know where to get Herr's Jalapeno Popper Cheese puffs. Damn those things are good.

They tell me the Southbury location is owned by the same guy. I'm guessing the experience I had there was a one off, and I'll reconsider visiting that location again too.

Went here the other day and ordered the Tomato Chicken Mozzarella Grinder. It was very good and tasted fresh. Could have used a little more sauce, but it was still tasty. However, is it just me, but have the grinders gotten about 3-4" shorter from when this shoppe first opened (and price went up)? I noticed that a long time ago. Have always loved the amount of meat, etc. on my sandwiches as I am a "get your monies worth" kind of person!

Also ordered the macaroni salad (shells with peas) and there's WAY too much mayo... it was grossing me out. Sorry!

Staff is always super friendly!

I only come here once in a while because it's a bit pricey for me, but overall, the food is yummy. OH I usually get the BBQ Rib Sandwich with everything... IT'S SO FREAKING...
