Rose's Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Oxford

I have to say my experience with Rose’s has been disappointing. I am in the local area and wanted to try this place since I always get fliers for it in the mail. I ordered take out and the pizza I ordered was mediocre. It was more drenched in sauce than anything, so I couldn’t even eat two slices of it. I decided to give it another try, but order delivery instead. The lady who took my order was very rude and she advised me it would be 1.5 at least for delivery. The time was not an issue because that was fine for me, but what disappointed me was that when I said that was okay, she seemed annoyed and rudely said “fine...what I can I get you”. It seemed like she did want to take orders for delivery. Not even 40 min passed and my order came. It was great that it was sooner than later, but to me, it seemed like she said 1.5 hour to deter me from ordering delivery, but then when I did, she was annoyed. I still gave the guy a generous tip, but when I opened my food half of the pizza had cheese that was not cooked all the way and the fried mozzarella I ordered was terrible. It tasted like they used old oil to fry it and even when I ate it, oil was just sleeping out of it. I had to throw all my food away. Very disappointing. Used to love going to their old place since I was a kid. Was hyped they opened up their new spot, waited sometime for the hype to die down. My girlfriend and I stopped in tonight. Waitress was nice. We received a free app on the house which was nice but that’s all that was fairly positive. 2 soups with our meal took 45 mins to come out on their own, mine was hot hers was cool. Ordered chicken cordon blu and my girlfriend had pasta. 40 mins later food comes to the table and mushrooms and sauce covered. On the chicken cordon blu, nothing states it comes as a “Marsala “. After my girlfriend was done eating and our waitress came back around haven’t touched my meal, explained the menu doesn’t say cordon blu is a “Marsala” and was told “ oh well that’s how we do it that way” then shouldn’t it say on the menu?? They offered to make a new one to go and another 40 minute wait. Tables of bigger parties have gone and come. New meal comes to the table, still has the Marsala sauce without the mushrooms this time and I asked for it to be completely plain.. didn’t even bother to say something just left it on the table. No comp on bill and 2 hours later I still havent had a meal other then the soup and app..It wasn’t terribly busy, might not come...

We have ordered delivery from Rose's on a fairly regular basis and I have to say the last few times have been inconsistent. I can over look the bread not being included or the food being cold, but last night was nothing short of disappointing and a waste of money. The large mushroom pizza was so underdone that we were unable to eat it and it was cold to top it off. The fresh mushrooms were still raw and the crust was so underdone, it couldn't support the barely melted cheese. It was one big mess. The crust wasn't even the least bit browned. I ended up throwing it away. I would like to think that if we were dining in the restaurant, this pizza would have never made it to the table, however, it was ok to send out for delivery. I asked for the side pasta that went with the dinner we ordered to be plain with no sauce and it was covered in red sauce. Unfortunately, this was the last time for us. Take out and delivery customers are just as significant as dining in customers (we make recommendations too) and the quality of the meal should...
