I love this bakery it is my favorite and the best place to eat in Oxford in my opinion. The food is so good. Everything is baked in house. We didn’t wait long at all to order. The staff is so friendly and helpful. They tell you what’s in all the dishes and make helpful recommendations. The lunch menu is short but I can appreciate that they focus they’re time in energy on their niche. I got the chicken salad sandwich and a side of pasta salad. My daughter got a slice of pepperoni pizza and my boyfriend got the house grinder with a sweet tea. My sandwich was delicious. My boyfriend liked his sandwich, it was spicy for me but he loved it. My daughter liked her pizza. The sweet tea was real good and fresh. The chocolate chip cookie is a bit salty but it states that it’s salty. The hot drip coffee wasn’t that great at around 12:30pm but I’m a big coffee drinker. I did appreciate the turbinado sugar in the raw and creamer. The seating is clean there are plenty of high chairs (and different styles of high chair) as well as booster seats. They have new crayons and paper to color on for the kids. There isn’t a changing table but there is a big console table in the bathroom on the right (both bathrooms are unisex) this isn’t meant for changing babies but if you have a changing pad it’s a really long table. Again this isn’t a changing table there are no straps so watch your baby so they don’t fall. It’s really bright, sunny and modern inside with beautiful high ceilings. I come here a lot and look forward to...

Nestled in the heart of Oxford, Strong Arm Bakery is an absolute gem that radiates the charm of a small-town bakery while boasting a menu that's nothing short of fabulous. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in the warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a delightful culinary experience.

The menu at Strong Arm Bakery is a testament to their dedication to quality and flavor. While everything they offer is a treat for the taste buds, the Ruben and Chicken Salad Sandwiches are undeniably a must-try. The Ruben sandwich, with its perfectly grilled bread, tender corned beef, sauerkraut, and savory dressing, is a heavenly combination of flavors and textures. Equally impressive is the Chicken Salad Sandwich, a delightful medley of freshness and deliciousness that will leave your taste buds dancing with joy.

What truly sets Strong Arm Bakery apart is its commitment to delivering not just great food but also a sense of community. The bakery's cozy ambiance makes it a welcoming spot to gather with friends, savoring both delectable treats and engaging conversations. Strong Arm isn’t just a family-owned business, it’s a family that welcomes you right in. Every bite of their food tastes like it was made just for you, using the freshest locally sourced ingredients and a whole lot of heart. We look forward to that Porch Drop menu every single week, carefully picking out our meals, breads, and treats. To me, it’s like Christmas morning every Saturday.

Their team goes above and beyond in every way, from the talent in the kitchen to the kindness of their drivers who deliver each meal with a smile and a friendly word. That extra mile they go doesn’t just fill your table, it fills your heart.

Some favorites we can’t stop talking about? The swoon-worthy Mediterranean tuna salad, soft-as-a-cloud Japanese milk bread, tangy key lime pie, baked spaghetti, pasta salads, quinoa salad, southern specialties like Chicken n Dumplings, and a variety of soups that feel like a hug in a bowl.

In the South, we say food is love and Strong Arm is overflowing with it. They’ve brought comfort, joy, and the taste of home to our door week after week. I’m so grateful for every delicious bite and every person who...

Updated review: We went back to Strong Arm last week and the service was great, the food delicious, and the drive out there was beautiful. We'll definitely go again. Strong Arm Baking is taking the Triangle Area by storm and we kind of love it. Quality baked goods that are consistently delicious are a total win and it's been really fun to see how many local places use Strong Arm right now. The only real complaint is that the service has been less-than-friendly the couple times we've been to their store-front location. Our last trip in, it seemed as though we were inconveniencing the staff when asking questions about what was in the case and overall we walked away feeling like we paid a decent amount of money to be treated pretty poorly - but at least the baked goods were delicious. We'll snag some Strong Arm goodies from local places in the future, but likely won't make the trip out to Oxford again.

The service was terrible, but the pastries and bread were ok so giving it 2 stars. Bring cash unless you want to pay the 3% extra charge for using a credit card (which they don't mention) and note that their default tip options start at 20% and goes up from there. Also be careful because they overcharged me for an item, I asked them to correct it while they were ringing it up, they said they did but actually didn't. Thank goodness I asked for a receipt! I had to go back afterwards to get them to refund me the difference (which they did, but they didn't refund me either the tax or the 3% credit card fee). As for the pastries we got, they were fine (the danish wasn't fully cooked inside so it was kind of doughy and wet instead of flaky but the flavor was good. They savory spinach roll is made with a sweet bread base so it's good if you like sweet with your savory).
