This review is solely based on the service and food quality out of the food truck. I haven't been inside their restaurant as it's closed for the inside portion during this whole thing going on.
I'm greeted immediately when I walk up to the window. They take my order quality. The food comes out in a timely manner, can't complain.
With that said let's move onto the food!
I've tried almost everything on the menu but the desserts.
Ribs. seasoned well. Smoked to perfection. Falls off the bone. Great flavor and cooked well. I'd say this alone is worth going for. Especially with the spicy bbq sauce.
Hot links. Spicy and grilled well. These are good with the none spicy bbq sauce since the hot links are already spicy. Perfect balance with the normal sauce.
Mac & cheese. SO good true homemade style Mac N' Cheese. What there to not like about that?
Baked bbq beans. Dip it with their garlic bread and you're in for a treat to the taste buds. And to the stomach. I may have indulged a bit to much of the bread and beans. May have gained some weight LOL.
Coleslaw. Sweet and savory yet refreshing. Especially while eating some heavy bbq meats.
Pulled pork. Savory moist smoked seasoned to perfection. If you like pulled pork sandwiches. I without a doubt know you'll enjoy this.
Would I recommend this place? Most definitely. For the quality and quantity of food the prices are MORE then fair. This is true BBQ. Plus the staff is quick and extremely nice.
The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars isn't entirely their fault but still how I do my grading.
Food quality Food pricing Service
Decor ( almost deducted another star from this. But I didn't due to the food truck being displayed very well and the menu being very clear )
Cleanliness ( since they're outside using their food truck I couldn't comment on how I give my 5th star ) so there you have it. I hope that this is understandable.
Food: above average
Decor: N/A it's out of their food truck at the moment in the back.
Customer service: no issues at all. Fast and professional...
Read moreEasily the best BBQ in all of Ventura county. I moved to the area a couple of months ago and have been searching every BBQ place from Simi Valley to Santa Barbara looking for this!! Smoked meat that has been cooked slowly and with tons of love. I got a 3 meat plate that comes with 2 sides and a garlic sub roll, I added an extra side of corn bread so that it would be a complete meal for me 2x. For the price, the amount of food included was unbelievable. I live on a budget and getting two full meals of hearty BBQ for $26 is pretty unbelievable. The chicken breast was pretty good, very smokey. The tri-tip was so good!! Delicious deep smoke ring, nice lean meat, just fabulous. The brisket was easily the star of the show, I'll be getting that every time and I'll be back to try the burnt ends 😋😋😋 tons of sides available, I got Mac n cheese and baked beans, both were outstanding. There is so much to try on the menu and I can't wait to check each item off my list. On top of top notch food, the service provided was above and beyond. Stephanie talked to each guest and knew her regulars. She was so personable and kind, she made me smile and feel welcome. I can't...
Read moreJust had an incredible meal here. My husband and I got the Burnt ends, ribs and brisket with a side of coleslaw and Mac and cheese. I'm very picky with my Mac and cheese and this one was so good! The brisket was my favorite of the three items (though they were all delicious) and we ordered more to take home to our kids. We barely had room for the peach cobbler but I'm so glad we ordered it. I LOVE that it comes with ice cream because honestly that's the best way to eat it. The peach cobbler was insane. I'm also picky with baked goods bc I love to bake, but man oh man this was just so scrumptious. I really like that the sauce is served on the side, that's how you know it's REAL bbq. Not covered in sauce, but instead you dip it in there or add as you like. And the sauce was really good, of course. The young lady that took our order was very kind and seemed excited about ask the menu items. It shows that she takes pride in what they serve and after trying the food I understand why. We're bummed this place isn't in Los Angeles, but any time we're in the area we know where to eat! Next time we're trying the tri-tip and...
