Pizza Man Dan's — Restaurant in Oxnard

I’ve seen these around Ventura County and wanted to give it a try. Plus, I liked the C3 Corvette I’ve seen driving around Moorpark.

I ordered two slices of cheese pizza. The nice lady up front told me it would take 15 minutes and it came out in about that time. I took my pizza back to work and started eating it. This has to be the grossest pizza I’ve ever tasted in my life. The pizza was burnt and rubbery while also lacking any sort of flavor. I don’t know what kind of pizza place this is, but they sure don’t know how to make pizza. Chuck E. Cheese and Dominoes blow this place away and that’s saying something.

Pizza is something that is hard to do well, but extremely difficult to screw up. I’ve had hundreds of pizzas in my lifetime and this one takes the cake as the absolute worst. I don’t know how this place is still in business let alone multiple locations, but I guess people here in Ventura County are willing to pay money to eat junk.

Avoid this chain, especially this location, if you are with kids. This location is also a nightclub and it does not feel like a family environment even in the day. I’ve read comments from other reviewers saying that the nightclub people started harassing them as they were finishing their meal. Not somewhere to go with kids. DIS-GUS-TING!! Ordered a margherita pizza and a Hawaiian pizza! By far, the worst pizzas I've ever had. How can anyone mess up a pizza so bad to a point you'd rather throw it away than eat it!! I've had plenty of margherita pizzas in my life. None looked like that! There was no cheese on it! I called them and was told this is how an original margherita pizza looks in Italy! Not true! I'm from Europe. I've been to Italy. This is absolutely not how a margherita pizza is supposed to look. I couldn't eat it because it looked too disgusting. My son tried to eat his Hawaiian pizza. The dough was not cooked. It was very soggy. Way too much bbq sauce. He's not a picky eater at all, but he wasn't able to eat it. Will never go back!! Gross! YUK!! Doesn't even deserve one star! There's a first time for everything including being disappointed with pizza man Dan's. The person in the call center, yes you call a call center not the store so the person you speak to has no idea what city you're even in, was somewhat difficult as it was. Very low customer service skills. Then my pizza got to me cold. I wasn't able to add a tip to the charge so I had to dig out the only cash I had to give a tip. They also did not offer plates or napkins. Many other places those are standard or they at least ask you if you need them if they know that you are staying at a hotel. Hotels don't have plates and napkins like your house does. And lastly, the pizza didn't even taste good and was sloppily prepared. Waaaaayyyyyy too messy. It needs a fork and knife, but of course I don't have those either. It was the chipotle chicken which looked really good. Maybe it's just I'm in a bad mood so it doesn't taste as good but after eating two room temperature slices, I just threw the rest of the pizza away. Very...
