Great little diner in Madison Ohio. Wait staff was nice and inviting. The diner wasn’t very busy when I visited 4/27/22 at 9:35am. My breakfast burrito was good a tad on the greasy side because of the hash browns being next to it. I would have liked to seen my burrito grilled in the outside to deliver a better bite and structure as one bite abs the soft tortilla pulled apart dumping my contents out but it was good nonetheless. The hash browns were cooked perfectly not over done or burnt but not soft and soggy like some places. I also got a side of country gravy and this is why I dropped a star. Country gravy is a big thing for me during breakfast some people hit it right others just kinda make a tasteless white gravy and call it a day. Mary’s diner was in the middle it was ok but had you desiring more flavor. It was kinda bland but not to the point it’s inedible. If you wanted a more honest scale I would give Mary’s diner a 8.2/10 it’s a little pricey but in 2022 what isn’t pricey anymore. Thanks Mary’s diner for helping me get a good breakfast as sometimes driving around all day in this semi truck becomes hard to find a good cooked meal.

My tater tots and hand breaded chicken tenders were very good. Our server was very nice to us and served us our drinks very nicely. It took us a long time to get our food but it was excellent.

Mary’s Diner in Madison, OH, is a classic diner experience done well. From the retro vibes to the quick, friendly service, it feels like stepping back in time to when diners were the heart of comfort food. I kicked off my meal with a cup of broccoli cheese soup, which was delivered to the table almost immediately. It was thick, creamy, and packed with cheesy goodness—a definite highlight that sets the tone for the meal. For the main course, I went with the Open-Faced Hot Turkey Sandwich. The turkey was tender and juicy, blanketed with savory gravy that hit all the right notes. The mashed potatoes tasted homemade—just the way I like them—with a few lumps for authenticity. This was my second visit to a Mary’s Diner, and both locations impressed me. With hearty food, quick service, and spotless surroundings, it’s an easy favorite.

Edit: One too many times we have ordered breakfast and they either cook things incorrectly or forget stuff. We quit ordering from here for a long while, but thought we'd give them another shot. Ask for crispy hash browns, they are still soggy. They never remember the syrup or butter - the person who picked it up even asked if the syrup was in the bag and they said yes. Get it back to the office, no syrup. Who wants french toast or pancakes with no syrup? Won't be going back anytime soon.

Generally, the food is pretty good; consistency is almost nonexistent, though. Most of the time, they forget condiments (such as syrup!) and silverware for our to-go orders. The French toast is supposed to come with three pieces, but I was only given two (but still charged the regular price). I’ve ordered the same thing multiple times and have gotten charged different amounts every single time. When served fresh with everything you paid for/asked for, it’s a great alternative to all of the fast food in Madison. Just wish they were a little more consistent, because you never know what you’re...

Loved the atmosphere, it was our servers first day serving and she was by herself, she asked the manager a question and the manager didn’t even know the answer and had to ask another server. Our server did the best she could but we kinda felt rushed. Now the food started off good with the macaroni bites but we orders a chicken wrap and the cod. The chicken was dryer than anything and you couldn’t even fix it with ranch. The corn was brown and cold. The cod was super oily where it was dripping off the piece of cod but yet the inside was dry and the tarter sauce tastes old as ever. We expressed our displeasure with our server and she took .65 off the bill 65 CENTS. We went to the counter to talk to the manager and she said “ well you should have told your server” obviously we did. The manager then proceeded to take $3 off the bill. We didn’t even a quarter of our meal. The manager was horrible and rude and did not put the customer first as she continued to say “no one has complained about my cod or wrap at all today” excuse me,? I walked outside and almost threw up in their...
