They had a management change 2 years ago. I cannot forget how good it was before. To me, this place used to be the king of Bajirak Kalguksu 바지락 칼국수 and had a very decent Samgyetang 삼계탕. But now it is just a mediocre noodle place. First I noticed we were the only customer at 6:30 pm Thursday, uh-oh. All side dishes did not meet expectation. I would think everyone would agree that kimchi is crucial to Kalguksu place. Broth was a bit run down in Kalguksu, but I liked the Samgyetang broth, and it is the best feature of this place. It does carry strong smell of boiled chicken, which I like but many don't, especially ladies. The big problem with the Samgyetang was that the chicken was overcooked and brittle. Read moreThis is a very small place run by two grandmas. Don't expect some fast, talkative service. They take their time and it feels like you're at their house. Their Korean knife-cut noodles and cold soy milk noodles were really good. The dumplings were decent; I did wish for more filling in some of them.
