Had a wonderful time getting my hair done and getting to know my stylist Jessica. When I booked they said only a junior stylist would be available which made me curious as to how the experience would go. I get my hair done once a week at the salon, and I don’t believe junior stylist is the right title for such a professional and capable stylist. I am very impressed with Jessica’s knowledge of curly and textured hair, and she treated me with care and respect throughout the appointment. She explained each product she was using, took her time to understand what I wanted, and delivered beautifully. She also explained to me the other services provided, the history of Sukis, how the female owner girl bossed her way into creating this outstanding salon, and how their mission was to create an unforgettable experience with accommodations for all types of hair, even for hijabi women. I was shocked by the price of the wash and style and believe that Sukis deserves to charge more for the quality of service and beautiful setting/atmosphere they provide. 워낙 부시시한 곱슬 머리라 1년에 한번씩 평생을 매직스트레이트 시술과 함께해왔어요. 미국에서는 처음 받는 매직이라 걱정되었는데 몇달 전 신지 쌤에게 커트 받고 엄청난 신뢰가 생겨서 큰돈이 들지만 볼륨매직을 받기로 결정했어요. 역시 저의 감은 맞았어요! 그리고 수많은 구글 리뷰들이 샘의 실력을 보증해주시기도 했구요!! 신지샘은 처음부터 끝까지 직접 약도포, 중화, 머리를 피는 작업까지 손수 직접 꼼꼼하게 해주십니다. 잘 못하는 곳에 가면 머리을 태우는 경우도 많은데 특별 클리닉을 넣지 않았는데도 좋은 약을 써주셨는지 머리가 찰랑찰랑 빛이나서 너무 행복해요. 매직스트레이트 받으면 머리에 딱 달라붙는 느낌때문에 다들 망설이시는데 뿌리 볼륨 확실히 살려주신거 사진에서도 느껴지시지 않나요 :) 오늘 머리하고 처음 출근했는데 다들 트리트먼트 뭐 받았냐 머릿결이 너무 샤이니하다 칭찬 일색이네요. 미국에 머리 잘하는 곳 없고 잘하는 샘 찾아 유목민 생활 하시는 분들 많던데 커트도 펌도 믿고 맏길수 있는 신지샘입니다!! 지인들에게도 강추할수 있는 분이에요!!!

I have naturally very frizzy curly hair, so I’ve been getting magic straightening treatments once a year for my entire life. It was my first time getting it done in the U.S., and I was worried, but after getting a haircut from Shinzy a few months ago and gaining a lot of trust in her, I decided to get a volume magic straightening treatment, despite the high cost.

And my intuition was right! Shinzy carefully handled everything herself, from applying the product to neutralizing and straightening my hair. At places where they're not skilled, they often burn my hair, but Shinzy used such good products that my hair feels silky and shiny, even without any special treatment.

Most people hesitate to get Japanese magic straightening because it can make your hair stick flat to your head, but she did an amazing job of keeping the volume at the roots, as you can see in the photos.

I go to work for the first time with my new hair today, and everyone was full of compliments, asking if I had a special treatment because my hair looked so shiny. ✨
