📍For years, a friend has told me about this hidden gem in Palm Springs (a town just a few minutes North of Lake Worth) called McKenna's Place [4068 Forest Hill Blvd, Palm Springs, FL]. The scoop was that it’s a typical Irish Pub with not so typical food. After visiting with a few friends, we can all confirm — it’s SUPER special. Family owned for many years, the team was lovely and the food truly exceeded our expectations. Have you ever seen Shepard’s Pie Potato Skins? I hadn’t — brilliant IMO. The “Shaz Way” wings [tossed in medium wing sauce, lemon pepper, garlic and parmesan] are something to behold. The Shrimp Alfredo was so fresh and clearly made to order — we proclaimed it was as good as any top notch Italian restaurant. If you live near this place and can stop by or order in — do it. Not only are you supporting a local, family run business — but their food is absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to return.

I love McKennas. They have great menu items and affordable in my opinion. My boyfriend has been coming here for 20 years since he was little with his mom. It’s a great place to have lunch and dinner for sure. I enjoy coming here and the servers are super fast and attentive. I forgot the gentleman’s name already that served is last night but he’s been there for years and provides killer awesome service. He’s super fast and on point. The food was super good. We had the munchies so we ordered oysters, ahi tuna lettuce wraps, fish dip, and crawfish. Super yummy and fresh. Oh and we had fried Oreos with ice cream and chocolate syrup. I would definitely come check this place out if you haven’t yet!

Great pub, great food and great value, one of the best pubs on West Palm Beach. They offer a variety of food for a pub and it's all well done. One thing I noticed, you can order fries or any fried food and it's clean, the oil seems always to be fresh. Daily specials are top: 5 bucks burgers on Mondays, 9.99 for 10 wings on Wednesdays and they have great wings (I like them medium, but try also the hot version, you can get just 5 of them with fries for 9.99). Friday is fish with two sides, Saturday surf and turf and Sunday ribs. Everything I had was good, definitely they take care of their food, and it's a family run business, owners are there every night, son is in the kitchen.

We have eaten here in the past and have found it to be a place to get great food at an affordable price with excellent service. This last visit on Thursday June 20, 2019 was a sad disappointment! We arrived a little before 8 pm and were seated right away. We brought my boyfriend's father with us as we wanted him to try this place. We sat, watching a blonde server pass us a few times to wait on tables in front of, and behind us (we were in a row of tables against the brick wall toward the side of the restaurant). I checked in on Yelp, as they were offering a check in special at 7:59 (we had already been waiting for 6 minutes) a gentleman finally asked if anyone had helped us at 8:25 then took off toward host stand. I was already a bit upset at this point because I have been a corporate Trainer and opener for restaurants as well as managing private places. Error #1 letting us sit there, unnoticed for any amount of time...error #2 No Apology at the time we were noticed..and taking off to find out who to blame it on...instead of "I am so sorry that no one has been to see you, can I get you drinks while I find your server?? So the gentleman server comes back and blames the person who sat us he then apologizes and offers to get us our drinks, it is now 835. Error #3 Never place blame on other staff..just apologize and fix! Our server Brianne finally arrived and she didn't apologize or even acknowledge that we had been there almost an hour with no greeting or drinks in this time we would have had two rounds (missed sales). Food ordered. Took forever for chicken fingers and two med rare burgers. Our drinks were empty for at least 5 minutes before she checked to see if we wanted more..Error#4 NEVER let a beer or mixed drink go empty before offering another a guest is 89% more likely to order another if they are between 1/2-1/4 left the longer a guest waits the more chances increase that another will not be ordered. The chicken tenders were black..please see the picture. I was going to ask for another order because I have had these here before and know what they are supposed to look like but she never came back to see how the food was. Error #5 Never did a two bite check so that any errors could be taken care of...when she did ask if we wanted another round, still not asking how our food was, we were done with the food and ready for the check. Now this is the part that is really upsetting the check was dropped and picked up within 15 seconds!!! You can ignore us for two hours but be right there to drop the check????? No Apology..NO nothing...I did leave a little tip (15% with an explanation as to why she didn't get 20-30%..or more..but I am sure she didn't understand) I am very upset as this place is close to home and has always been good in the past AND we were trying to introduce a NEW person to this place. Needless to say..I didn't get the...

Worst experience ever not just because some of the veggies were old, our tenders were burnt and that we had to clean our own booth to get service but the fact our Server was mean and made My family felt so uncomfortable and not welcomed into the restraunt. I grabbed a highchair for my daughter and I bend down to put my kid in the chair & she pushes me from behind, she didn't bother saying excuse me or a sorry. Once we sat down a she came and tossed our menus on the table and left not even greeting us with her name or a hello. My 10 yr old son had to tell me that he didn't want to eat here because the server was being mean and rude, I explained to him to give her a chance, & We did. My mother asked for silverware for the 4of us and she brought one knife to us. We needed refills and stuff that was missing with our meals and she never came to check on us. She was constantly going to the bar to chat while i was keep getting up to get things that my family needed. My mother had to shout across the dinning area to get the server attention and she would ignore us even a other server will tell her we needed help and the other server would attend to us and we explained our server hasn't attend to us she is to busy chatting. Our server comes back just to tell me & my mom we are her only table and that's is the reason she can go talk at the bar and in the most harsh ghetto way. Ilove coming to mckennas but these new servers are Rude lack of Customer skills and they are not commited to Respect Mckeenas Place and they're Customers. I WISH I KNEW THIS SERVER NAME SO I CAN COME BACK WHEN SHE IS...

This place has been around since I was a kid, and it's been hit and miss with food for as long as I can remember. But it's close to the house, is clean, and has a good atmosphere. We had oysters, smoked fish dip, shepherds pie potato skins, and Jamaican Jerk wings. Oysters were fresh, but lots of shell pieces to spit out. Fish dip is consistent, good, and quite large compared to what they give you at Flanagan's. The shepherds pie stuffed potato skins were a delicious surprise, and we'll be back for those again. The Jerk wings were a big disappointment. It was very Rosemary and Salt heavy, and there was no heat to it. The fish dip was actually hotter than the wings. They were so salty that I was trying to wipe any excess off with my napkins. I don't know if they got the wing sauce wrong (they have a lot of variety to choose from) but honestly they were borderline inedible. They do however make a great crispy wing. I just can't seem to get them sauced right every time I order. Last time I ordered wings there they brought out BBQ when I asked for honey garlic, and they were sitting in a pool of sauce just getting soggy. Prices are fair, specially if you do their daily specials. They do offer a wide variety of dishes to choose from, with...
