This place has the most delicious kabobs and tahdig I've eaten in a very long time! I ordered 3 skewers: 1 skewer of barg, 1 skewer of beef/lamb koobideh, 1 skewer of joojeh. When I got there to pick up my order, the place was a bit nondescript. Very much a hole-in-the-wall type of place. A bit hard to find at night. But nice and welcoming inside. The people who work there were friendly.
Usually, at other Persian restaurants, tahdig with lavash is not something they always have. Plain rice tahdig is more common. I asked the woman behind the counter if I could add some tahdig with lavash to my order. She asked how many, and I said 2. And then when she was handing me my order, I asked how much for the tahdig (since I had already paid for the rest online), and she said "don't worry about it" - I was so delighted! I couldn't believe they would give it to me for free, as I've usually had to pay for it in my past experiences at Persian restaurants in California (this was my first time trying a Persian restaurant in Florida, even though I've lived here for a couple years).
When I got back to my hotel, the food was still nice and warm. The kabobs were so tasty! Just the perfect amount of seasoning, salt and very juicy. They were cooked just right, easy to bite into, not dry or chewy at all. Amazing! I've eaten tons of kabobs throughout my life, including in Iran and other countries, and these were among the best I've ever had. The lavash tahdig was incredible! Crunchy to bite into and soft as you eat it... just the right texture and flavor. I wish I had asked for more pieces :)
I had evacuated to Miami due to the recent hurricane and was due to leave the next morning. If I was sticking around town I'd probably be eating...
