Between Two Buns — Restaurant in Palmetto Bay

We recently visited "Between Two Buns" food truck and had a great experience overall. Right from the start, they asked if we were new to their food truck, and the help they provided, especially for my wife and kids, was top-notch. That level of customer service alone deserves 5 stars.

I tried the chicken sandwich and the cheeseburger. The chicken sandwich was amazing—one of the best I've ever had. It was perfectly cooked and delicious.

However, I wasn't as thrilled with the French fries, though my wife really enjoyed them. The cheeseburger, unfortunately, was disappointing. The meat had no flavor at all. The sweetness of the bread was more noticeable than the patty, which isn't what you want in a burger. I even tasted each ingredient separately to confirm it was the patty that lacked flavor. The egg on the burger was also a letdown. At first, I thought the black dots were seasoning, but given the lack of taste, I believe it was just residue from the grill. The egg definitely needed salt.

The biggest downside was the seating area. I know they can't control the sun, but a mesh shade on the left side would really help. My kids got sweaty after just 10 minutes of sitting, and we had to deal with a lot of flies. A small fan could make a big difference.

Despite a few cons, the excellent customer service and that incredible chicken sandwich mean I'll be giving "Between Two Buns" 5 stars. I hope they see this review and consider making a few small improvements.

I had the pleasure of visiting "Between Two Buns," and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. The hamburger had a delightful quality that set it apart from the typical greasy fare you might expect from a food truck; it was akin to a meal from a fine restaurant. The bun was a revelation, with a taste that added a whole new dimension to the experience, and the meats were of exceptional quality.

I opted for the fried eggs, and they were the perfect addition, elevating the burger to a new level. The service was top-notch, and the staff's explanations of their menu were not only helpful but also very welcoming. I'll definitely be returning and spreading the word about this fantastic food truck.

If I had to offer one piece of constructive criticism, it would be to exercise caution when adding chicken to the burger. It's important that the chicken is incredibly juicy because, at times, the edges can turn a bit crusty, which can slightly detract from that perfect, full, and engaging bite. Hands down the best burgers in South Florida! We stopped at Between Two Buns and were blown away. I had the Single Smash and my husband tried the Miami Smash both were packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and absolutely delicious.

The Colada Shake was the perfect finishing touch it hit the spot and gave me just the sweet energy boost I needed. The fries for the kids were also a great choice even my picky eaters loved them!

What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was so kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Even the owner himself came by our table to check on us, which you don’t see very often these days. That personal touch made the experience even better.
