A Hidden Gem in South Florida: Acqua e Farina's Unforgettable Pizza!
If you're on a quest for the finest pizza in South Florida, your journey might very well lead you to a quaint little corner food truck named Acqua e Farina by Ciro Esposito. From the moment we arrived, the cozy ambiance, decorated with thoughtfully arranged plants and flowers, captivated us. With just two tables under a canopy, this intimate setting had a unique charm, accentuated by the rustic wooden plates on which the pizza was served.
Now, let’s talk about the star of the show: the pizza! We indulged in two varieties, 'Harry' and 'Bad Boy'. Every bite was an unforgettable flavor symphony, with the freshest of ingredients creating unparalleled taste combinations. While both were delightful, 'Harry' stole our hearts. The subtle acidity from the lemon beautifully complemented the rich flavors of the prosciutto and cheese, achieving a perfectly balanced taste sensation.
Their service was exceptional, with our pizzas served right at our table, exhibiting genuine hospitality. To accompany the meal, they offer non-alcoholic beer and various refreshing beverages.
A special note: We journeyed nearly an hour each way from Fort Lauderdale to experience this pizzeria. And after savoring their mouth-watering pizzas, I can confidently say - it’s a trip we'd make again without a second thought. Acqua e Farina truly deserves a shining 5-star rating for offering an unparalleled pizza experience in South Florida. Highly...
Read moreMy favorite pizza!! This is some of the best pizza I’ve ever had, NYC included! It’s not NY style, I’m assuming it’s more Italian style. The food is always incredibly fresh, I’ve seen Ciro (the chef/owner) slicing prosciutto to put on a pizza! I’d recommend each person ordering their own pizza because they’re on the smaller side and excellent reheated anyway if you don’t finish it all. The salads are phenomenal, the pastas are good, the meatballs are delicious, and the desserts are amazing with big portions. This is a food truck so it’s mostly for take out, the pizzas are thin and airy so I highly recommend bringing along an insulated bag to cart them home in, I only live a few minutes away and I do this. There is a small cute outdoor dining area also. Recently they’ve gotten quite popular (as they should be) so certain things (or everything) can sell out quickly, especially on weekends. I’ve been coming here since 2019 and despite the newish popularity the quality hasn’t changed a bit! Photo is of their Sofia pizza (my personal favorite) which has ricotta and meatballs on it. Highly highly...
Read moreAs a Miami native that loves (LOVES) Neopolitan pizza, I believe I've tried every Neopolitan pizza in the city. The thing about Neopolitan pizza, is that when it's mediocre, it's still good, but when it's great, it's transcendent. Acqua e Farina was pretty good. The food truck was hard to find (all the best places are) and didn't look like much from the street -a faded blue and white truck- but if you can get past the tough veneer, your taste buds will thank you.
The crust waschef's kiss. Perfectly baked in their traditional forno. Dough is perfect and the Sauce was so good (not sure if DOP but I'll find out and update)! My only gripe is that when you have great sauce and a fantastic crust, you have to come through with fresh mozzarella and I just didn't feel it with this pizza. Don't get me wrong, the cheese was fine, it just didn't meet the high quality of the crust and sauce.
Tl;Dr give them a try. You won't regret it....
