On the way home, a friend, who just I picked me up mentioned he was hungry! How convenient was our location at the present; across the street, old Hwy 41, and 17thAve Palmetto Fl. Went inside and that smell of pizza filled the air, and, and I saw a large buffet style arrangement with salad, with various fixins, including 4 or 5 different kinds of pizza all sliced for takin. Near the end of the table were 3 or 4 different kinds of dessert pizza. I chose to have the buffet selection, and my friend chose small meat pizza. Great choices, good food, staff kind and helpful, and the price for both these meals was around 24 bucks. For dessert,Try the chocolate pizza, or the cinnamon roll, apple slices, better yet, try them all, in moderation of course. Good stop; stop in see and have a great meal!! Update 4-22-2022 Today visited Hungry Howie's with my visiting Son. We had the salad bar plus pizza. Our waitress Stella was really friendly, and made sure we were taken care of with extra plates and smiling service. It's a Friday, so we decided to go before the Friday crowd came rushing in for beer an a great meal. Howie's has many various types of pizza's from all meat to all veggies. Oh they also have various desert pizza's. If you haven't tried Hungry Howie's; you should!
Update 5/28/2022 Had lunch today at Hungry Howie's. Decided to go early to miss afternoon traffic; plenty of seating in the restaurant , and bar area. Parking was no issue either. My neighbor and I had the buffet, which included a salad bar with just about any type of salad, an condiments you might desire, and soft drink, and sooo many different kinds of pizza available; was hard to make a choice. I had thin crust pizza, with meat; which was very tasteful, and garlic topped cheese 🧀 pizza. My neighbor had the same, with the exception of veggie cheese pizza, both with refills of your favorite soft drink with large cups For dessert, a small cinnamon roll, and apple crusted pie. The smiling server was constantly checking our needs, and made sure we were satisfied with our meals. If you haven't tried Hungry Howie's; I would recommend you make the stop! Although there are several Howie's located in a lot of locations: we stopped at the Hungry Howie's located on Old Hwy 41 and 17th St. Easy off, and return to Hwy 41, and...
Read moreUnlike Little Ceasers pizza, Hungry Howie's buffet was a delight. The pizza on the buffet was fresh and hot. And when we asked if they could make a pineapple, jalepeno, black olives, extra bacon and Cajun crust they brought out half of a pizza just for me. I know a strange combination sweet salty Smokey and spicy try it sometime it's awesome. The salad bar was cold neat clean and we'll stocked. And just like the pizza buffet it had a nice selection. The salad bar had a better selection than Golden Corral. The only time any time anything was dirty was when a family of slobs came in ( you know who you are) and was just horrid. They treated the waitress like their personal maid. I give her so much credit we left her a very nice tip and we weren't even in her section I wish I could remember her name. Hey morons learn to be considerate and some manners. Once again you know who you are. She works for the Department of corrections as a probation officer I was tell you her name only her initials Barbara so I fibbed sue me. And her husband John an out of work mechanic. Plus there teen age son was just as bad. Are waitress was also super. And yes we tipped her well. So other than the pigs who were there it was very pleasant. So I will definitely be eating there again. And when we ordered a pizza to go they didn't charge us $4.00 more because we only wanted pepperoni on half. Hey Little Ceasers take notes From Hungry Howie's learn to value your customers like your livelihood depends on it oh...
Read more11:00 on a Sunday. I called ahead to ask about specials and was told to look online for a detailed list. I was driving, but I tried… the site required me to make an account/even browsing as a gust required more details than I could write at the time.
Got there around 11:15. There was ONE car at the entrance, and the woman was leaving. There were ZERO customers in the dining area. No one was at the entrance greeting. I picked up a to-go menu to browse and decided while waiting, then I moved closer to the register thinking maybe no one saw me. Someone in the kitchen finally acknowledged me and hollered “he’ll be right out!”. A guy walking through the dining room to the bar said “I’ll be right there”. I nodded, but then it occurred to me that I can spend my money places that are excited to have my business. I left.
It’s unfortunate because I wanted pizza, but I honestly can’t reward such poor customer service with a tip. Unfortunate waste of time. They’ll get business because the food is good, but the lack of effort is disappointing. I went to Jets in Parrish when they...
