I took the family to The Good Life Sports Bar and Grill tonight for dinner. My oldest kids had already been there several times, but it was my first time. Embassy is open seating, which was tough since we were party of six and most of the tables do not seat six people. If it's busy, it may be difficult to find tables for large parties. But there were several tables open for groups of four smaller. Our server came to the table quickly, and got drinks and took our orders. I was impressed at how fast the food came out once we ordered! One of my sons and I got a double burger (which is $7.25 on Wednesdays). The burger comes with your choice of side and is topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle, and onion. You can add other toppings, but some address extra (like cheese $0.99 and bacon $1.50). The burger patty was a little dry for my liking, which is my biggest burger pet-peeve. My oldest son got the chicken sandwich ($10.99) - holy cow! The patty was twice as big as the bun. The chicken was well seasoned and even breaded. He gets the same thing every time, so it must be good. My daughter got the chicken appetizer with fries ($10.99 + $2.99). The portion was large, but this was also ordered off the appetizer menu. The chicken was tender and juicy but the breading had no seasoning and minimal flavor - she liked it but I would have been disappointed. We also got two orders of Nebraska nachos ($7.99 on Wednesdays) which is a pretty good sized portion. We split one for the table and it was plenty (and the second was eaten as an entree). The nachos are topped with queso, cheese, black olives, tomatoes, onions, and jalapenos and served with a side of salsa and sour cream. You also get your choice of beef, chicken, or pork and they are broiled with a blanket of melted cheese. The top layer was awesome, where every chip was smothered in cheese and toppings. But once you got past the top layer, you got some chips with only queso and others with nothing. The chicken was also somewhat dry here. My oldest kids said the food here is usually very good, so maybe this was an off-day and I need to go back. However, one shining star of the restaurant were the employees. They were very friendly, appeared to be having a good time and taking care of the patrons. Our server, Andrew S, was exceptional. He was very responsive and friendly to all of us. Andrew is an A++++! For all six of us (two adults, two teens, and two kids), the total bill was $72. As mentioned, I'll probably give this place one more try based on the reviews from my...

We were greeted almost immediately by a super attentive staff member who brought us water and handed us off immediately to another server who was awesome
The gentleman (I canāt remember his name) was the perfect amount of patient and attentive without being overbearing!
He made great suggestions and we proceeded to order drinks and apps
The high noons are only $6! Thatās a great value period
The Nebraska nachos were great with crispy oven baked chips drizzled with a great seasons queso topped with white chicken chunk, jalapeños, black olives, diced tomatoes and topped with shredded cheese that was melted under a salamander (I think) with a side of sour crème and great salsa with just the right amount of heat! We gobbled them down and right when we were finishing the main entrees came out
My wife ordered the Gouda Mac and cheese with tender expertly cooked chicken in a creamy cheese sauce with bacon. The chicken was moist and delicious and the baked entree with shredded chicken and topped with 2x slices of garlic cheese bread She finished half of it but enjoyed every bite
I ordered the prime rib melt with cheesy horseradish sauce (Iām not much for horseradish so I was apprehensive) and a side of aus jus (I think homemade but it was delicious nonetheless). The sourdough was the perfect texture with a toasted outer and soft inner and the prime was shaven and flavorful. Dipping the bread in the aus jus was a magical bite Crunch, moist beef, creamy sauce and the salt o and flavorful broth was simply Devine
We ordered a couple high noons and went to the patio to watch an extremely talented acoustic musician playing his mandolin and singing a great combination of Tom Petty, the doors, and other classic tunes
The volume was perfect for table side conversation and a fun night with great food, incredible service, and a perfect song for a wonderful experience

I have been in there several times but Last night is the reason I'm making a post, after a stressfull day at work and not really feeling the greatest. I particularly didn't want to go home and cook and I really wasn't in the mood for conversation but I wanted to watch the hismanen award ceremony and maybe a little boxing but not at home. I asked if the server if he could turn the closed captioning on one of the TV's so I could read the acceptance speech from Kyler Murray for the Hismanen trophy award, What a huge honor for his hard work and for all the other players there, š He could have easily said there's no way to do it and I would have just accepted it... After all I'm at a bar... He wasn't sure how to so for the speech he put it onto the sound system and everyone got to hear it. š But more importantly no one even seemed to mind the bre pause in in the music being played at all, thank you for being hospitable that's huge in customer service.
