Moved to Gordonville in October. This pizza place is the absolute worst pizza/food anywhere in PA that I have experienced. I even gave them a try 3-4 times thinking maybe it was just a bad day or week (happens sometimes) and each time was worse. I tried Subs, 4-5 different types of slices, salad and chicken parm dinner. Any fried app’s are soggy and nasty. Pasta was WAY over done and seemed like it was left in warm water for hours, or maybe it was just left over from a prior day? They use all processed frozen chicken like those frozen patties from an elementary school cafeteria. Pizza crust is cheap and gross, I really hope it is not made on site! At least if they just buy dough from restaurant depot, there might be an excuse for the lack of quality. Sauce and cheese is also quite obviously the cheapest versions they can find from a can and certainly not hand made as any respectable pizza joint should do (I mean at least TRY to be a “restaurant” and not a Cafeteria!!). I have fam that have lived here for 30+ years. They say before this place tried to “franchise” and expand to multiple locations it was much better. But they have obviously made the classic mistake of completely giving up on food quality so they can pump out cheap food to tourists they have no desire to keep as regular clientele… And believe me, it is quite obvious to the locals! I’m from NYC area originally and know Pizza like I have a doctorate in it! I have had Pizza in multiple pizza joints in 32 states (I make it my business to try every one I spot as I travel) and this one may be one of the worst (bottom 10) I’ve ever found, anywhere!. Sorry guys, but close a few “branches” and spend some cash on some decent food! Some of the best produce and farm fresh foods in the nation in Lancaster county and these guys are slappin frozen processed “chicken” patties on horribly gummy bread with canned sauce and idk what excuse for cheese.. using pizza dough that makes dominos seem gourmet and calling it “good”.. Sad!.....
Read moreI don’t love I the area so I called to make sure they would deliver to a hotel. The girl on the phone said h they do so I gave her my order. I confirmed with her that I would get a call when the driver was here and I would pick up from the main lobby. I went to the lobby when I text saying that my food would be on the way. About 15-20 mins later I get a message from a random number saying that my food was in front my door. I fact my food was in front of my room door, on the concrete, driver never called before hand, driver didn’t knock on the door(people were in the room). Mind you at this time it had been raining for a few hours so the ground it wet and anybody could have walked by and taken it. When I called to talk to a manager he said the driver left it under a roof so it wouldn’t get wet. I asked why he didn’t call before hand or go to the lobby like instructed, there was no answer.the food was not hot at all either. Definitely not worth the hassle or money spent. I will never order from here again. I travel to this location a lot and so does my family so they will be forewarned.
To go with their reply, I’m to believe that leaving the food on the ground where bugs could get in was a good idea? If your driver was able to text me then they should have been able to call. Also I did not request a lobby delivery, the women on the phone said that’s what they do. I confirmed with her if that was the policy and she said yes. Of course you would try to say it’s someone else’s fault for your bad review but I’m not the only one who didn’t like your service. Take responsibility for yours and your workers actions. Offer me a discount for next time? Are you going to remember that discount a few months down the line? How does my feedback suggest that I live here? I said we travel here and so does my family, multiple times throughout the year. Maybe don’t come for your customers and just take accountability. Have a...
Read moreMy experience was okay for myself. We ordered Cheesesteaks, mild wings and lava cake. The only thing my parents had an issue with was the wings. They thought it was too spicy for a mild. For me, I didn't like the cheese steak. I could only eat half because I was hungry and that was all I had eaten all day and was going to eat. I wasn't at home. I was expecting a juicy that rich tomato sauce, but to my disappointment it wasn't very cheesy and a bit dry. No flavor whatsoever. It was delivered quick and was hot. The garlic bread was very good. The wings were bit spicy but good. I also ordered a caeser salad it was good, but a bit disappointed that it was served in a foam to go plate. It was a small, but it felt like left overs and too small of a salad for that plate. The lava cake was tiny. Like a cupcake. I honestly am not one to order dessert, but being away from home why not. The cake itself was dry. Four of those would've fit in the small plate given me. It had a teeny chocolate in the top. Definitely not a lava cake. I regret ordering it. So I wasn't fully satisfied with my food. I wished I would've ordered something else. I'm glad I ordered the salad, that kept me full a bit. All Two cousins are different, I wouldn't judge them all based on this order. I only tried the cheese steak because a review I read, but I usually get an Italian or a cheeseburger sub. I will probably order again, just not get dessert or the cheese steak. My Parents shared a cheese steak. They thought it was good, but felt the meet was too smashed for being steak. More like a ground beef...
