Pizza super salty second time I had it. Same exact one from the first time, which was great. Ordered 12” thin crust with beef, onion and mushroom. $2 per item. Taste like a very salty mushroom pizza. The second taste you would experience is the onion. However, you could not taste the beef whatsoever!! The young lady that waited on me for this take out could not have been sweeter! She said her family “kind of owns the place “ . She made my pizza. Her first time making a thin crust pizza. She asked if she did a good job. I looked at it and said..,yes, but is there beef on there? She said…yes, under the cheese. I literally came home and ate 2 slices with zero beef. I looked and gently combed through pizza to find only 3 more small pieces of beef on a 12”. I then called Genos and asked to speak to whomever may be in charge at that time. I proceeded to tell her that the young girl that waited on me could not have been friendlier and even this may have been her first thin crust, I was not satisfied at all with the LITERAL lack of beef first and foremost but also the extreme saltiness. We all want to taste the individual ingredients that we choose and not have one that dominates or in this case didn’t really exist as far as the beef, don’t we? Anyway, the person in charge made no apologies in any way shape or form and just kept saying that it’s “hidden “ underneath the cheese. Well, I’ll tell you one thing - you can not get thinner pizza than what I ordered and looking through it yielded 3 tiny pieces of beef. What is the biggest issue here is that the person “in charge” did not try to make any amends for the customer. She sounded very young herself so what is she really going to know? I do expect though, that the employees are taught/trained in how to satisfy a very disappointed (second visit) customer. I will not be going back. Nothing specifically against Genos, but any place where clearly there is an issue needs to be addressed properly or do not expect return business. They say (in general) if you like someone’s business, you will typically tell 3 people about it. If you don’t, they say you...
Read moreSo I ordered Chicken Parmigiana and a 12 inch pepperoni pizza. Simple right? I mean, we're not talking rocket science. What I received was absolutely laughable and the excuses I got from the idiotic manager that finally picked the phone up after being on hold for 8 minutes was even funnier! So check the pics. This is what this establishment passed off as a chicken parm. It was completely inedible, had chunks of diced mush chicken all through it. Like the kind that is a pizza topping, not an actual chicken breast breaded and done properly, like oh I don't know, every other chicken parm is done. Who dices up the chicken?? Unheard of, Italian grandmothers are spinning in their graves after reading this, assuming they read my totally awesome Yelp reviews of establishments that need to be out of business immediately for appalling food. Here is the topper, I call and talk to the manager... and he tells me that he personally watched them make it and it looked great. Then proceeded to tell me that they use two CHICKEN TENDERS that's they dice up and bake with the pasta! Unbelievable! Chicken tenders, diced, with the breading mushed to all heck in dry noodles? How is that even possible? Anyone with a shred of culinary knowledge that saw a cook prepare this like that and then have the audacity to tell a customer that "it looked great" and "that's how we always make them, too bad" shouldn't be working at an Italian restaurant or even a Taco Bell. Oh and the pizza... let's discuss the pizza. I ordered a 12" one topping pepperoni pizza. It was 11.25 or something. And it had 13 pieces of pepperoni on it! 13! On a 12 inch pie!! Lmao! I mean, just look at the pics. They speak for themselves. Do not go here. Ever. Even if...
Read moreUsually a good place to eat. I've ordered from Geno's in parchment maybe 15-20 times in the year ive lived near them. Unfortunately it's not the food quality that is cause of the poor review. The issue i have with Geno's is that they no longer accept split payments anymore. Now in many cases I'm sure that's not an issue however i don't have a significant income, and i have $8 on a card (which is enough to get my food but not the delivery fee) and $7 in cash that i saved over a period of time. I'm disabled and without a car so i can't get down there to avoid the delivery fee and the tip i like to give the drivers for their time. And i don't get another deposit on my card until next month so i guess my money can't buy me dinner tonight. Everywhere else is more expensive and to be honest not as good of food as i was to get from Geno's. Even to get door dash it requires a card, another reason i have favored Geno's when i eat out is that they accept cash and have split the payment for me in the past. Today I'm rather...
