1.5 start, not 1 hahaha. Questions for the Bear fans (owners): Is there a good reason why is the bacon so thin (about 1.5 millimeters) ?? It was so chippy and crumbly that it felt dusty and sad in my mouth. I appreciated that the scrambled eggs had no seasoning, not even salt. I'd advice to use a hint of garlic. We can talk about it offline. The fruit.... please PLEASE. To whomever is procuring the food items, The blueberries are so unappealing. They lack that first-bite snap, they a mush inside/no body and the flavor is missing. I wouldn't bash the strawberries but the blueberries were so much disappointing that I opted to focus on that. Recommendation: Put a bit more effort/emphasis into seasonal fruit and have someone highly objective try them. The service was suuuper cozy, though. Props to Emerelyn (I feel i butchered her name, but she is a peach) and Sam (greeter). ps. Reader: Dinner is better. Love, Ed

The day my now-husband and I walked into The Reservoir at the start of summer in search of a smaller reception venue, we were immediately welcomed with warmth and kindness. Corina, the owner, took the time to sit with us and share creative ideas that made our day even more special. Mr. Chris, with his genuine Southern hospitality, went above and beyond—personally transporting us from the restaurant to our beach ceremony and back. And to our surprise, Deb had beautifully decorated everything for us! The servers were also incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel like part of their family. There are so many wonderful things they did that I could truly write a book, but I’ll just say this: they made our entire experience absolutely perfect. I wholeheartedly recommend the Reservoir without hesitation.

Several people told me about the delicious burgers at the Reservoir, so I had high expectations. The burgers were definitely tasty. I especially love the location of this restaurant on Ottawa Beach Road on the way to the state park. When you can sit on the patio, there are lovely views of Lake Macatawa right across the street. If you are staying next door at HOLLAND State Park campground, you should just definitely check this place out. Update July 7- they really found great staff! So friendly! Food & drink were really good. Most things on the menu are expensive, I wish there were a few more less expensive choices. Update 11/24/2024: went in for drinks and appetizers on a Sunday night. Pretty quiet. Friendly waitress and staff. The sangria was delicious. Good appetizers. Super fast service.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We called at 1030am prior to opening to ask if we needed a reservation or if we could make one for a birthday party for 11 people. The woman on the phone stated they werent taking any additional reservations, only walk ins. Great. So we can walk in with 11 people? So that is what we did. We were told at 520pm we would need to be out before a 630 reservation if we wanted sat. A member of our party agreed to comply. However we were served food past 6pm and hounded over every minute beyond when our food was made incorrectly (extra wait time) they couldnt check out our bill (extra wait time) we had to ask multiple time for our sides (extra wait time) our server was VERY friendly, kelton d. However we asked to speak with the manager FOUR TIMES , (extra wait time). Another server was then sent to tell us "we need this table to accompany our party" we stated AGAIN we have been wauting for the MANAGER ON SITE to come speak with us so we can leave (EXTRA WAIT TIME). MEANWHILE the 630pm party rolled in almost at 7. My fiance then had to go ASK the manager on site (turns out to be the said OWNER of the est) to come speak eith us. Which she tried to get out by stating we are very busy. (As she stood speaking to waiters). As she reluctantly came over the conversation I attempted to have with her she was immediately defensive as I asked her questions regarding our 1dt time experience and how they manage their guests and the reservations. When she was "fed up" of interrupting (i had to ask to speak multiple times) she walked away. Ignored when we asked for her name, until I stood in the front of house repeatedly asking her name (cowardly she finally answered) I have NEVER had to have a exchange like this and also told bystanders to take their business elsewhere. Our tab alone for 2 people with tip was $82. None of which deserves to go towards Corina Sepsakos business. I WOULD NEVER recommend this establishment to ANYONE in grand rapids with a dollar to spend. Which was quote unfortunate because our food was actually good and we enjoyed our waiter. This is a warning for anyone. No responsibility taken by the leadership staff on our terrible experience or an apology. Just told we should leave because they have...

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times before, but I won't feel comfortable eating here again...

Tonight I had dinner with a family member and a friend, and despite the abysmally poor service (didn't bring us the waters we initially asked for, took around 15 minutes for them to bring out a beer, took forever to bring us refills, untrained expos, etc.) I had to write about the disgusting plates and silverware we received.

I honestly should have taken a photo, I was just so shocked and wanted to get on with my appetizer. One of our appetizer plates had a long black hair swirled around it. It was just so disgusting, I decided to wipe it off and not cause a fuss because the staff already seemed stressed/all over the place. But when we ordered dessert, and she handed us two spoons, the bottom one still had spin artichoke dip on the under tip of it. That is plain gross!

I work in this industry, mistakes happen, but they need to address these issues with their dish people and their serving staff. Clearly, they are overworked/understaffed, and they don't care enough about their customers to check. (I've folded a lot of silverware, I've caught food specks on them before, it happens, I hope this is all just a fluke, and they usually do catch it, same with the plate of hair)

The food is good, very...

My friend and I came in for Mojitos and dinner. The first Mojitos delivered were flat (no carbonation) and had very little flavor/lime/sugar. We explained to our waitress what was wrong with the drinks and she eventually brought two more. These two were carbonated but still tasteless. At some point, she explained that the bartender did not know how to make them so we decided not to try for a third time. Unforgivable as anyone that bartends should be able to follow a recipe and we were very specific about what the drinks needed. We ordered bruschetta, a mushroom burger and truffle fries to share. The bruschetta was very soupy and contained red onion. It was much closer to pico de gallo. The toast looked good but was incredibly hard to chew. Possibly stale. We were unable to finish most of it. The truffle fries were hot but not particularly tasty. As for the burger, I thought it was excellent but my friend did not like it at all. We eventually spoke to the manager who, to her credit, removed all charges except the burger and fries. We did not ask for this. Although our waitress was great and tried her best, the manager appeared to be poorly trained. In general, we were extremely dissatisfied with the food and how everything was handled. We...
