My recent visit to Sushiato left me utterly impressed and satisfied in every aspect. From the moment I stepped through the door, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service that continued throughout my dining experience.
The ambiance of the restaurant was contemporary and inviting, creating a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy a meal. The attention to detail in the decor and lighting added a touch of elegance without feeling pretentious. The cozy seating arrangements and soothing background music made for an enjoyable dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the food. The menu was diverse, offering a range of delectable dishes that catered to a variety of preferences. Each dish I ordered was a work of art, beautifully presented whilst boasting incredible flavors. From the succulent steak cooked to perfection to the delicate flavors of the seafood pasta, every bite was a culinary delight that left me craving for more.
However, the star of the night was undeniably our server, Sabina. Their level of professionalism and attentiveness was above and beyond. Sabina was friendly, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations throughout the evening. They truly understood the art of hospitality and ensured that my dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. From making sure our glasses were never empty to promptly bringing out each course, [server name] effortlessly made us feel...
Read moreI was thrown by the mention of Latin fusion and Asian cuisine. Sushiato is neither. Our meal started with a couple of cups of tea that were served in cups from a greasy spoon diner together with the generic restaurant grade tea bag served along side the cup (definitely not asian) for $4 per cup. From there we were served cold Miso soup for $7 per cup. Our expectation for a $7 miso soup was high, however, Sushiato failed miserably as even the newly served replacement cups were bland at best (I should mention the 1st cup of mine had a rubbery floating piece of something that the server advised was seaweed?) Our child had the kids chicken nuggets for $14. Yes, $14 for bits of fried chicken. I point this out as we also ordered the Bao buns with fried chicken that shared the exact chicken nuggets found on my son's plate. The Bao buns were dry and lacked flavor. Sauce was lacking. The sushi rolls followed the meals progress and were a huge disappointment. When we let the server know of our experience she made a nervous laugh and asked if we would like to order dessert. We declined. In the end it was $100 for a terrible meal that was by no means Latin fusion and certainly a let down to those who enjoy Asian cuisine. Parklanders should look elsewhere for...
Read moreI used to love this local restaurant in Parkland, but my recent experiences on two consecutive days have changed my opinion. We were extremely busy both days and opted for takeout. Yesterday, the mashed potatoes were overly salty, which was disappointing as it’s my go-to dish due to dietary restrictions. The fried rice wasn’t as perfect as it was when they first opened, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt.
Today, we ordered takeout again, this time sushi rolls with tuna and ramen for myself and my dietary needs. As I was finishing my ramen, I decided to try the egg, and I was shocked to find it sour and unpleasant. This has left me concerned about the quality and freshness of the raw fish, especially since the boiled egg seemed spoiled. I’m a big fan of ramen, but the experience with the egg was so off-putting that I couldn’t finish my meal, and now I’m worried about my son’s order, the tuna rolls, big hope to be...
