What a quaint and delicious coffee shop located in Creekside. The restaurants, shops, etc.. Offer a discount to Thrive residents, definitely an incentive to check out the restaurants around the area. We are moving into Thrive this weekend and I've stopped over twice now after my morning workout. The coffee is craft coffee unlike that of Starbucks and Dunlin, craft coffee is nothing to turn your nose up at, it is so much better than big chains. They offer a simple but delicious breakfast menu with lunch options as well. There is a wonderful bakery counter with specialty chocolates. My first time in I ordered a 20oz iced vanilla latte with oatmilk, the coffee alone makes this drink, it is not acidic, it is smooth with bold flavors. I also ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. I usually expect very little meat especially when it is bacon on breakfast sandwiches but they came through. Each bite was a perfect mix of everything, no need for salt and pepper as it was simply perfect. Today I stopped over and upped the ante and had a 24oz iced vanilla latte with oatmilk (I really should branch out but why ruin a good thing) and had the bacon, egg and cheese burrito. The burrito was made on a panini maker, and again there was bacon, egg and cheese in every bite and I never came across a bite with too much tortilla. They serve it with salsa if you'd like but this needed zero help with flavor. The residents of Creekside are lucky to have such a cute coffee shop. There is a patio that opens to a greenbelt with tables just waiting for you to have a seat, enjoy the outside, drink some delicious coffee and read a book (at least that's what I do)! If you haven't stopped by, don't wait much longer as you're missing out on...
Read moreIt was my first time there. The barista and cashier were both friendly and informative. I ordered a Cortado and a Bacon Egg and cheese croissant. The Cortado was delicious and could have been a few degrees hotter. The croissant was possibly toasted, it was good sized but a tad dry (just the pastry portion of the sandwich). My friend ordered an espresso type mocha hot drink and asked for extra hot. She said hers was not as warm as she had hoped. The sitting area was very sunny and the fireplace was on. There were several mothers with toddlers playing together and a couple of grown ups settled working or visiting by the fire. The bathroom was very clean. Someone had ordered a Nutella protein smoothie and the barista made a little extra so that we both could try it. I thought it was delicious, the forward espresso flavor was complemented by the thick texture. It was perfect in the moderation of sweetness. My friend stated she didn’t like Nutella (or hazelnut flavor in general) but actually tried it...
Read moreGusto was the right thing at the right time for us! They were open early on a Sunday and accommodated a call-in order for a quick takeaway. It’s located on the first floor of an apartment complex but the parking situation was easy. Plenty of seating and kind staff.
We got two cappuccinos that were very good, smooth, and strong. For food, we tried the breakfast burrito (delicious, substantial, flavorful sausage and cheesy eggs with fresh tortilla) and the croissant sandwich (just okay, thin bacon, a little doughy on the croissant). It was quick service and they had the food ready on the to-go shelf for us, got us checked out quickly and efficiently.
Thanks for the quick...
