We visited Mariachi Mexican Restaurant on a Friday evening around 7:00 PM. The wait time was minimal (just about five to seven minutes) which was appreciated during peak hours.

The experience started well with a flavorful salsa and warm nachos. I ordered the chicken quesadilla with rice and beans, and everything was delicious. The beans had a subtle kick that added to the overall flavor. My husband had the chicken with chorizo and was equally pleased with his dish. The margarita was also excellent—refreshing and well-prepared.

Our server was attentive, polite, and accommodating, which made the service a highlight of our visit.

The only observation is that the dining area can get quite loud when it’s busy, which might not be ideal for those looking for a quieter atmosphere. However, the food and service quality more than made up for it.

Overall, we had a very good experience and will...

We gave this local place a second chance after they’ve been opened for a while now. The Chips are absolutely awful, they have a weird burnt/rancid taste. No matter how much salsa we put with them the after taste is unbearable. We thought originally it was something about them being new, but it’s still the same odd flavor.

And service was indifferent, like the staff has not had any professional server training on protocol. Lots of staff just gathered around front podium when guests need things. The first time we went husbands meal was brought out alone, and he was almost down with his meal but the time the other four people got their plates. Disappointing because some of the meal items have promise… fajitas are good, and beans are tasty. Hope they figure out the chip issue and better train their staff for service. We really really wanted to love this place since it is so...

Waited a bit before trying, nice change and the menu is not your normal burrito, Chimichanga, quesadilla menu. They have some real good choices that had been off my radar since my last trip to Monterrey. We shall return! Salsa had 'spirit' just right.

Second Visit: All I can say is Burrito La Parrilla. I need say no more. This is a burrito people, it is NOT filled with minimum amounts, It is not drizzled with cheese It has ample cheese on it and topped with Trece Parrillas 3 grilled pineapple slices. I can usually be a big boy and finish my dinner. Well I am having it for lunch also. Again I will say the service is great, food is great. If you haven't stopped by... WHY Oh you don't like Mexican food. OK That's cool. More for me.. great addition to the...

First time trying Plaza Mariachi in Parkville! 🪇 Complimentary chips & salsa hit the table right when we sat down, & everyone gets their own bowl. I’m picky about salsa & this one was super flavorful, not too tomatoey, well spiced. Brent got the biggest margarita I’ve ever seen (on special for $12.50) & a beef tip chimichanga, he loved. I got the fried tacos because I wanted something crispy & they hit the spot. 🤤 We even had leftovers. Definitely going back.👏 #kansascityfood #parkvillemo #mexicanfood #plazamariachi #thingstodokc #kcfoodie #kcrestaurants #kccontent

Excellent version of this keto-friendly special order: ground beef x2 + a side of guacamole. Nice presentation, food at just the right temperature, adequate portion size. Clean restaurant and friendly, attentive wait staff. Loud, high energy atmosphere with lots of loud chatter, but no music. Large TVs with no sound or closed caption and low quality viewing from side angles, the walls are void of any decorations or artwork, but otherwise it’s an open loft-style design (open/exposed utilities painted black on the ceiling, smooth concrete floors). Most (all?) guests seem to be enjoying themselves. Oddly, there’s a booth up front that’s piled with papers and coats and other debris … I’m curious what it costs them to keep this spot out of service?

Let’s start by saying the guy that greeted us was pleasant. The salsa is boring food was lukewarm. Read the kids menu carefully for a good chuckle. Kids menu is for kids 12 and under included meal and drink unless you are 12 then you have to pay for the drink. Waiters and waitresses going to seriously ask?? Then we received the bill, prices are expected but are we seriously in 1995 where if you pay with a card they will pass on the service fee. Honestly pretty cheap for a company to have the rules they do. Can’t say there was one thing that will ever bring us back. Way better places, Hell Taco Bell is at least warm food and same quality. Just way Cheaper!!
