When I get a hankering I simply will not be denied. Recently I got a sushi craving. But my usual joint was closed. So I decided to try someplace new. Sushi was really good. Though I didn't care for the Kani (imitation crab meat/sea sticks) they use. Dunno, just didn't care for the flavor. Different than what I'm used to is all. Also the gyoza wasn't fried as crisp as I prefer. There's no teppanyaki here, but they do prepare hot dishes like terriyaki, etc. Service was good. No complaints there. My gold standard for Japanese restaurants is always whether they offer natto. I learned to love natto on rice or in a makimono roll from my former mother in law. If a joint has natto, you know it has to be legit. Sadly, none found in KC Metro so far. If you know a place please let me know so I can visit. Another observation, they don't provide the wooden disposable chopsticks here. They're regular plastic ones. Which at first I thought was a nice touch. But turned out they were slippery when...

I can’t recommend this place more than enough! It’s my all time favorite Asian restaurant in general, but especially for sushi! Service is always amazing, and both when I’m being served or taking a take out order because people is scary I always get told I’m tipping too much but they absolutely deserve it! The people there are the sweetest! Especially Ms. Lee I believe her name is. I’ve had her as my server multiple times, she has black hair around her mid thirties early forties and gives spectacular customer service! Both when handing tables and take out orders. And today I had a takeout order per usual when it’s just me, and I was greeted by a gentleman. He was super sweet as well, didn’t catch his name. But overall, everything is always amazing and I’ve NEVER been disappointed when going! Also, food is very affordable compared to...

As you will see my husband had also left a review. A glowing one at that but I'm here to warn anyone with food sensitivities of any type to stay away. Tonight is the 2nd time they claimed my wife's meal was gluten free. The first time was a take out order that had tempura in the spicy roll. Tonight it was their smoked salmon sushi as they marinate that in non gf soy sauce and smoke it themselves. We knew this.... they apparently forgot. The only person there that understands is a female, do not trust the sushi bar staff as they apparently havent a clue. I am full blown Celiac and I can never risk eating here again. Am really regretting giving a 2nd chance, for at least the next 3-5 days.... possibly longer. Twice they have made me sick. Sad too because as you saw in hubby's review we...

Ordered from door dash today because I have been craving sushi for over a week and decided to try Kome for the first time and wow I'm glad I did! The picture is missing a few pieces because I couldn't wait. Rolls are from top to bottom: spicy crunchy tuna roll, sweet heart roll, mother and child, and monkey roll. It's really hard to pick a favorite! They are all so good! I think I'd have to say the sweet heart roll wins by a very slim margin. I will definitely be ordering from here again.

Some of the best Katsu dishes in the city! We always end up getting at least one full chicken or pork katsu along with sushi and their delicious appetizers. I had my parents try katsu from the first time here and they've fallen in love with the dish as well. I only wish they gave you more sauce on the side with it! Their sushi is some of the best in the northland. We've tried several of their specialty sushi rolls. We love several of them including the one with steak- it's worth it!
